I bought this for my son as a gift and he loves it. Also I purchased the 2year warranty for it for only 6.50.I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a shock resistant , water resistant and with an illuminating light this is your watch.

Cascio G-Shock Watch

I paid over $120 for this watch a few years ago for my husband in white. My husband wore the watch everyday for 3 years through working in tough conditions and it held up really well. He asked for a black one and I was ecstatic to find this one for less then half the price I paid for his other one! It came in a couple of days and it looks awesome. He was so happy!

Nice, durable, watch with several functions

This is my first G SHOCK watch, and definitely not my last. I am very impressed by the quality and durability of the watch. I needed a watch that can withstand my daily abuse for the type of training I do: swimming, running, and rock climbing. Furthermore, this is a great looking watch and has great functions that work very well. I am very pleased with my purchase. Also the shipping was very fast as well.

LEGIT WATCH!!

Lets start with what I've put my G-Shock through: Rock climbing, Raft guide/Swimming rapids, Painting[watch was covered in paint], Sand from various trips to the beach and laying in it while shooting, Scraped against rough pool walls, Search and Rescue, Various sports- Soccer, Wrestling, Ski accidents, Mountain climbing, High temperatures and Freezing weather. In short I don't treat it nicely, not out of neglect but high activity.
I just purchased my second G-shock, the first lasted about 2.5 years before the battery died. I replaced the watch band about 4-5 times before finding a sturdy one with metal parts. The watch itself has remained intact. The screen is well protected with the raised frame and has never had water leakage. 
The only down side, you cannot purchase the battery from anywhere. The battery is special made for G-Shock, in order to replace it you must send the watch to G-shock. This is the only reason I purchased a new one, so as to avoid the shipping hassle.
To sum it up, G-Schock is a bomb proof watch and totally worth the normal price. If you can find it for $45 its a steal.

Hard Core Gear

Bought this for my grandson.  It's a little big for his wrist, but he will grow into it.  The multiple functions should provide him with whatever he needs to do with a portable time piece.  The rugged construction should hold up when camping and hiking.

I work in a hospital and I need a watch that can hold up. I have always wanted to own a G Shock. So I pulled the trigger and got this 6900. Great watch for the price. Tough looking and tougher material. My only complaint is the watch band. The plastic buckle is questionable. If you need a tough no frills watch, this the one for you.

Kinda disappointed the g shock box didn't come with it. Other than that it's exactly what I ordered. Came fast and on time.

I have own the same watch for years. my current purchase of casio watch is the watchband.
my last (same) watch band was wider and clasp was my out metal, it lasted 11-years.
The new watch has a plastic clasp which to me won't last long. I think casio needs to go back
to upgrading there watchband on this watch.

FAIR

it was useful at first within the first few months but after it kept resetting and started not being water resistant. When I first sent it in they held onto it for over two weeks and did nothing to fix it. They probably just replaced the battery (basic fix for someone who knows nothing about watches). Do not buy unless you get the warranty. Buy another model. Dissatisfied customer.
