got these for my 4 year old daughter last year for xmas and she still has them they are excellent!!! She is 5 now, and they have a slider to adjust the volume which is awesome!

The kids love these.  They say they can really hear what is being read to them.  The teachers say it helps keep the kids focused because they aren't hearing any distractions.

The lower elementary kids and teachers love these.

I brought these for my 4 year old daughter and the sound goes up really loud. It is really good when she is trying to listen to a movie on her portable dvd player when I am driving. It fits great it never comes off her head. It stays in place perfect. I had the brown ones before and now I ordering these. I'm sure its the exact same thing just different color and animal on it. The last ones she had for 6 months and never had a problem with them. One day they got caught in the car door and the wire got messed up so now I am ordering a new pair. The sound is very clear on these headphones too.

Bought this for my daughter's 4th birthday to go with a tablet. The sound is OK, but nothing special.
You would think the volume knob on the wire is a good thing, but not for a 4 year old. She fidgets with it while she's watching and either loses sound or blasts herself until she just unplugs the headphones.
I think it might be an okay gift if she was a little older though.
They don't seem too cheaply made, and they are cute....
