Hubby says it is a study, durable lock. The lock was easy to
program, instructions wee easy to follow. Brinks lock is very
heavy and I feel it would take a would be burglar a long time
to try and break the lock. It also comes with a key.

Husband is currently using it to keep his hand truck secure to his 
truck.

Great Security

I received this Padlock from BRINKS and I will say that this is a great product. This padlock has a solid brass body. You won't need to worry about someone trying to cut this padlock off, it has a cut resistance of 6,000 lbs. I really like the fact that this has a re-settable combination lock which you can set a four digit code. If for some reason you forget your code or wanting to change the combination to add extra security, you can do so with ease. I am using my padlock to lock up my outside office. I don't worry about it rusting because this padlock is weather resistant. This padlock is really strong and has a great weight to it. In order to set the combination lock all you have to do is follow the step by step instructions which are printed on the back of the package. This padlock can be used in so many different places, like an outdoor shed, locker or anything that you want to keep protected. This is a product that is made to last and keeps your valuables secure. I would recommend this product if you are looking to keep your belongings safe and secure.

Great Padlock

This is a very nice large sized lock. I am really impressed with how heavy duty and solid it is. The combination code is fast and easy to customize and set up. I especially like that it takes a key to set it. It also unlocks nicely, the wheel spins smoothly and the numbers are clearly marked. Even my husband is impressed and that says alot! Overall it's very high quality and simple to use. Would definitely recommend.

Heavy Duty Lock

My husband is famous for losing his keys and I have found myself locked out of our barn on more than one occasion. I have, however, been skeptical of using a combination lock as I didn’t feel it would be as secure as a keyed lock. Upon receiving the Brink's 50mm Brass Combo Resettable Padlock, I was easily able to set up a four-digit combination of my choice. This lock is unique, as you push the number pad at the bottom once the combination is entered and must simultaneously push the lock bar down then release, which unlocks it. This was a bit tricky as my fingers, upon pushing, would move the numbers, resulting in the entering of the wrong combination. Basically, making sure to push with the right numbers set is key. This lock is great, as it makes it easier to get in and out of my barn and I don’t see anyone easily figuring out the combination that was set. The combination mechanism is on the bottom, which prevents rain from soaking into the lock and causing the mechanism to rust and fail. It took some practice, but after a few tries, I mastered unlocking the lock without turning the numbers that were selected.

Great combination lock!

The first thing you will notice is this is a heavy lock. It’s also very stable. I’ve had locks in the past that while locked had a little play, not so with this one. The machining is very tight.

The brass casing is weather resistant and heavy gauge. I don’t intend to try, but it feels like it could take a heck of a pounding before it gave way. 

The shackle is thick, the packaging claims it can withstand 6000lbs cutting pressure and I can believe that. It doesn’t give the pry limits, but it seriously seems like it would be a lot. Anyone trying to break into my shed would have more chance breaking the hinge than this lock.

 It comes with the code set to 0000 which you can change by inserting a supplied pin key into the side and setting your own combination. Very simple. 

Great for sheds, gates, truck tool boxes, motorcycles, storage lockers etc.

Solid padlock.

this is a nice lock that you can set your own code on. I like that feature as I need several locks and its just easy to have the same code on all 4. 
its not the smoothest rolling tumblers I have had to work with but its not very difficult to set up. 
you do need 4 digits to set up a code. 
the hardest part was opening the package.

dial lock

This padlock features a 50mm solid brass body with a chrome-plated hardened steel shackle. Also a steel locking lever for maximum security. I had a little trouble opening it because you have to line up the numbers just right, otherwise it will not open. I also had some trouble with inserting the key while trying to reset the combination. You have to use some force to get it in the hole and then turn it. I could get it in the keyhole but had some trouble turning it. After several attempts I got it and was able to change the combination. This lock seems very durable and I would think a burgler would have trouble taking this down. Directions are easy to follow and the lock is resettable.

Heavy duty!

All the internal components are brass with a hardened steel shackle. It is weather resistant but will probably need to be oiled at some point. There is a full lifetime warranty, a plus. Make sure you write down the combo you choose and store it in a safe place, because you can't change it without knowing what it is currently.

Sturdy

This was mailed to me, and upon receipt I found out it had busted all the way out of it's packaging. So, if you're planning on buying this as a gift, you might want to pick it up in store. 

The lock itself is very sturdy, and seems like it would be very secure in the long haul (when mine normally rusts out). The combo was easy to reset with the included key, and there's no play in any of the number wheels or the shackle when it's closed. I do think it would be very difficult to cut or beat off the gate where I'm using it, so all in all I'm pleased and would recommend it to others.

Too strong for the packaging!

Lock arrived in packaging from the USA - BUT - the lock is imported from china. It is a multiple piece padlock destined to fail. It has an outer shell that is pinned cheaply (2 pins) to the inner lock. Pins can easily be drilled or punched. Also this lock will fail in the winter months. Water does not compress so freezing weather will ruin this lock. Basically this lock isn't worth anything. Please see the pictures. Also the reset hole has no cover, it is on the side & is exposed to weather.
