This outdoor cooking center is perfect for backyard gatherings. You can cook enough meat to feed everyone and probably still have some room left over for smoked veggies and other side dishes. This barbeque charcoal grill has a fully hinged chrome door that seals tight to hold in the heat. You'll appreciate the wooden carrying handles that stay cool and are securely attached to the grill. Inside this Brinkmann charcoal grill, you can cook up to 50 lbs of food at once. There are two chrome-plated grills, an upper and lower, so you can use the bottom for a ham or turkey and the top for hot dogs and patties. The grill comes complete with an easy-to-read internal temperature gauge.

    Great Smoker and a great price, this thing is plenty big for a first time smoker, I read reviews on people complaining about the door to add coals and wood is too small, its seems to work fine for me, you only add coals once every hour and a half if that, I added a few heavy hand full’s of coal twice in 5 hours of smoking, get some Kingsford chips a small bag is 2.99, soak them in water/ dry and throw them on it will smoke for about 20 min or so each time 2 hand full’s, if I knew smoking was this easy I would have been doing it a long time ago, 39 bucks at my Wal-Mart, get a chimney starter it saves tons of time and food taste better with no lighter fluid.

    I maded the decision to purchase the Brinkmann smoke n grill over the weber because of the price. Also, the Brinkmann has been rated as one of the best smokers. Set up was easy...just follow the instructions and be sure to cure your new smoker. My only advise is to load up the charcoal pan full of charcoals. Then, add a few hot charcoals from a charcoal chimmey. You get a much longer burn. Do not use lighter fluid...it will only shorten the burn time and you'll have to add more coals. Also, purchase a meat thermometer. You don't not want to open the lid and lose hit during the smoking process. Besides the tips, I smoked my first chicken thighs and they turned out great! Next step is pork shoulder. Enjoy and good luck!

    This was my second purchase of this item. The first was 15 years ago! That is how durable this smoker is. It works great and is easy to use. We smoke chicken, ham, turkey, fish. It saves money, you can smoke your own meats and create gifts baskets for friends and family on holidays. I would recommend this to anyone who likes smoked meats or who wants to try their hand at smoking meats. At this price you can't lose!

    • Hi, Please follow the steps below for Grilling and Searing on your Brinkmann 810-5301-W smoker: 1. Remove dome lid, cooking grills, water and charcoal pans from smoker body and set aside. 2. Place a drip pan/ash guard or its equivalent under the grill to catch embers, ashes or drippings. 3. Open the door on the smoker body. Place a cooking grill on lower support brackets. 4. If grilling food, place the charcoal pan on top of the cooking grill on lower support brackets. If searing food, place the charcoal pan on the upper support brackets. Make sure charcoal pan is resting securely on notched out step of all three support brackets. It is very important that the rim of charcoal pan is securely locked into the notches of upper support brackets. Doing so will hold the pan in place on brackets and prevent pan with hot coals from falling. 5. If using a Charcoal Chimney Starter, follow all manufacturer’s warnings and instructions regarding the use of their product. Carefully place 4-5 pounds of hot coals in the charcoal pan. Proceed to Step 7. If using charcoal lighting fluid, follow all manufacturer’s warnings and instructions regarding the use of their product. Use charcoal lighting fluid approved for lighting charcoal ONLY. Do not use gasoline, kerosene or alcohol for lighting charcoal. Place 4-5 pounds of high quality charcoal in charcoal pan. 6. Saturate charcoal with lighting fluid and wait 2 to 3 minutes for fluid to soak in. Store charcoal lighting fluid safely away from grill. 7. With the door open, carefully light the charcoal and allow to burn until covered with a light ash (approximately 20 minutes). This will allow charcoal lighting fluid to burn off. 8. If grilling food, place a cooking grill on upper support brackets. If searing food, place a cooking grill on top of charcoal pan on upper support brackets. 9. Place food on the cooking grill in a single layer with space between each piece and allow food to cook. 10. Always use a meat thermometer to ensure food is fully cooked before removing from smoker. 11. Allow grill to cool completely, then follow instructions in the “After-Use Safety and Proper Care & Maintenance” sections of this manual.     • Absolutely, that is an option. Just leave out the water pan, install the middle rack first, set charcoal pan on middle rack and place food on top rack.

    • Yes, it can work as a grill. You raise the charcoal pan and grill to the highest level and leave the lid off! It's a smoker and grill for the price of a grill.

    • Hi, Always allow smoker and all components to cool completely before handling. Once cooled you can wash cooking grills, water and charcoal pans with hot, soapy water, rinse well and dry.     • After Charcoal cools, dump in heavy plastic bag. I also sometimes add water to ensure they are cooled. I rinse pan with water hose.

      • This warranty does not cover smokers that have been altered or damaged due to: normal wear, rust, abuse, improper maintenance, improper use, disassembly of parts and/or attempted repair by anyone other than an authorized employee of The Brinkmann Corporation.
      • This warranty does not cover surface scratches or heat damage to the finish, which is considered normal wear.
      • The Brinkmann Corporation may elect to repair or replace damaged units covered by the terms of this warranty.
      • This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not transferable or assignable to subsequent purchasers.
          The Brinkmann Corporation requires reasonable proof of purchase. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you retain your sales receipt or invoice.
