No it reclines to a cradle seat for infants but I would check manufacturer suggested age to be safe.

My baby cannot sit up yet and she loves the swing.

Because the swing has both a laid-back position and a more upright position; it's great! My son
is only 3 months (not sitting yet) & he's been using it for 2 months!

I got the swing for my baby when he was about 6 to 7 weeks but a newborn can definitely use it as long as you put the straps on correctly.

no ofcourse not it could be used from when the babies born its meant for little babies once the baby starts sitting up they cant really use it anymore!!!
