No it does not. Save your money.  They will not accept returns and it does not work.

I have a model something like this, but solar with a continual, every few second beep. Doesn't have infared, or go on with motion. My dog is not bothered by this at all and she is bothered by fireworks, thunder, kitchen timers, and anything else that emits a higher frequency beep or boom. This is a pretty low beep and doesn't bother her at all.

This product will work to repel a variety of animals including deer.

Yes, its worked quite well in my yard for almost 2 months. I also recommend additional spray protection, such as Deer-Away; that you can get in HD or Lowes. I use this just encase the power goes out as a back-up deterrent to deer. I also found that deer prefer dark yards as opposed to lighted ones. So, if you can use some very efficient outdoor CFL or LED lighting, that will also help deter them. I use all 3 methods and got very consistent results when I added the Bird X unit. The new garden is further from the house so this is great. It's easy to hang with the tools that it came with. And it's safe to have outside. It is really simple to use, and the instructions are easy to understand.  It is waterproof and motion activated, which seems to work very well. This one does require 4 C batteries, or you use the AC adapter that it comes with. It has a 4,000 square foot range, so it protects a large area. If you are looking for something to protect your garden or home from unwanted creatures, this is a great product to try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The yard guard is definitely a helpful product if you have a garden, plants or any other areas you'd like to keep critters away from! We have a mole problem and this is helpful and while it doesn't rid you of 100% of the critters I prefer safe options like this rather than using chemical based products!

Effective

This product had no effect on any animals including rabbits, squirrels, skunks, dogs or cats but it did give my wife headaches. I am not trying to be funny, she is the only one that the frequency had any effect on. I varied the frequencies and the lower ones did not bother her, didn't bother the animals either, therefore I would not recommend it.
