I used a lamp shade that fit an uno socket lamp base and it works well. Not sure if a harp is really needed.

The description says 40 watt. I have a 15 watt led bulb and for me it is a perfect cozy bedside lamp.

It suggests a maximum of 40 watts. I have a 25w LED bulb and it is perfect as a bedside lamp.

what is the max wattage for this lamp? trying to figure out after my kid took the sticker off before i got a chance to notice.

It's the perfect size! And a great mix of function and funk. I plan on spray painting it a cool blue to match my curtains.

I've looked everywhere for the right lamp for my space and personality... found them but all for way too much $! Could not believe it when I accidentally found this at WM while wandering looking for something else.

This owl lamp is durable enough to survive the grandchildren yet beautiful enough for the living room. Fantastic price!

I love this lamp!

I think it is adorable. Plastic base can be painted. Having trouble finding a lamp shade that matches in cuteness. Only thing is that it does not come with harp for shade just as an fyi if ordering.

Who... doesn't love owls?

I picked up this lamp with site to store and had it same day. The shade i chose and the white rustic paint on the lamp blend well and look great in almost any space!

OWLdorable

I noticed that they are starting to switch these out for a new porcelain owl base (with a different owl design) in store but I hope they keep these old ones available online because I love them. I use them as a base and paint them to match hand painted shades. I sell my hand painted bases and shades and they are quite popular. I painted 60 total in 2015 and already this year it looks like that might double as I've painted 50 so far in 2016. I rely on these bases because they newer ones don't work as well for me. If they get rid of these I'll eventually have to switch over or just stop making them. Walmart, if you are reading this, please keep these original bases available online! They are too good to lose!

Love the old design more than the new one

A little shorter than expected, but other thn that its beautiful. And for the prize can't really complain. great purchased.

Gorgeous Owl

I'm happy with the owl lamp ... it's cute and perfect for the nursery. The material it's made of isn't the best quality but it's still charming and fun. From the top of the owl's head to the bottom of the lamp is about 9.5 inches; from the top of the white 'neck' to the bottom of the lamp is about 11.25 inches and from the top of the bulb socket to the bottom is about 14.25 inches. Widest part (from wing to wing) is about 4 inches. I wish I had those measurements when I purchased the lamp to help find a more appropriate shade. Hope this info helps someone else out!

Good Little Lamp

The white owl lamp was broken when shipped the first time. I ordered two the next go-round just in case one was again delivered broken. In the second shipment, one of the lamps was cracked in the same spot as the previous one. The other lamp was intact...yea!
Overall, a very cute lamp with lots of personality. This one will be paired with a beige lampshade, and will be used in a newborn's bedroom!
