I'm using mine outside--I , too, think they could be protected with a clear spray.

We are very happy with our purchase of these 29" Cafe Stools purchased through Walmart.com. They arrived quickly and were well packaged. 
We ordered 3 of them in white to make use of our kitchen counter for seating and eliminate table and chair seating to create more space. They are lightweight, but sturdy and comfortable.  They give a clean look to the kitchen, and would work well in several different decor styles.
The only negative was, the seat top of each stool had a few shallow scratches in the paint, which looked to be rub marks from the packing material during shipping.  Doesn't bother us, as I'm sure they will see more scratches in our house with use, but this may be an issue for some buyers. It would be very easy to repaint these with a coat of spray paint if you tire of the color or they get scratched up.

Nice stool

I bought the red. It arrived in a tall box and well packed. The stool is perfect for my workshop. Just the height and look I was going for.  These would be great as barstools inside the house or out.  I will buy these for outside as soon as we finish our outdoor cook/bar.

Sturdy, cute and great value!

Love the stool. Shopped around, could only buy in pairs from other stores and just wanted one. Regular shipping got it to my door practically overnight. Stool is sturdy and love the handle. Color was not as silvery gray as I thought from the picture, but exactly what I would have preferred.

Great seat!

We purchased this stool online and were pleased with how sturdy it was. We had read the reviews about some dents during shipping, we did not have this problem but we did notice welds on the seat had been poorly ground out giving it the appearance of dents, but this is hardly noticeable. We are now ordering four more of the exact same stool. For the price, you can't beat the quality!

Stools

I bought these to replace some oak bar stools for an update. So far love them and have had several positive comments about them.

I was surprised to find them at our local Super Walmart (after I had ordered them online) and they were cheaper by a few bucks each. They were delivered directly to my house though.

fun little update

These stools are great. They are solidly made, comfortable and brighten up the kitchen area. Trivet and napkin holder were sold out in our area so that was a disappointment. They arrived super fast, 3 days after ordering.

Purchased this bar stool to go in my game room, very pleased with how they look! It's a great price for how sturdy and reliable they are, and would definitely purchase again. No assembly required which was great, allowed me to set them up in my home right away with no hassle. I would definitely recommend this product.

I got these metal stools to use for my outdoor bar and they started to rust after the first time the got wet.  I knew they weren't marketed as outdoor furniture, but I would have thought they would of held up until I bought something to protect them.  They are also prone to scratches and nicks.  They also didn't do a very good job with smoothing out some of the welds before they painted them.
