Yes it does. It takes a 3 way type A bulb with a maximum of 150 watts, anything more powerful than that is sited as a fire hazard.

There are two models. 
The one ending in 005 is $29.95 and a three way.
The one ending in 007 is $39.95 is on/off switch.
Very confusing and annoying on my end, but finally figured it out.

I have three way bulbs in both of my lamps, they work fine. I am switching to fluorscent bulbs and am having trouble finding them in three way bulbs, but for now will keep the incandescent ones in the lamps.

Yes, I have a regular light bulb (actually its flourescent) and it works fine. No need for a 3-way unless you want it.

The instructions are to only use a three way bulb, but in a pinch I have used a 60 watt standard bulb and had no problems.

It&#39;s a frosted pressed glass shade with a flower design.

WARNING:  2/15/2018  I had the same question.  This model is Manufacturer Part Number 12316-005 has a 3 way switch.  I just bought one in a Walmart retail store a few days ago.  There is a clear sticker on the box with black type that reads in part:
"For lamps that require a 3 way dual filament bulb, only use a 3 way bulb with dual contacts.  Never use a single contacts bulb with a single filament."  

I have no idea what will happen if this rule is violated.   Call me chicken.,  I'd rather be safe than sorry.  So I am using a 3 way bulb, purchased separately.
Also on the box is a list of acceptable 3 way bulbs, with  pictures included:
Type A 3-Way Incandescent bulb 150W Maximum, 
CFL 3-Way Bulb 25W Maximum, 
3-Way LED Bulb 25W Maximum.
(Note Bulbs are NOT included with this lamp)

Just bought this lamp - can I use a regular/standard lightbulb in this or does it HAVE to be a 3-way bulb?

The switch is directly under the glass base up on the top of the lamp.

It's right under the globe. Mine arrived broken. It's just a cheap plastic knob so be sure to check yours prior to assembly.

The on/off switch is located under the lamp shade near the top of the pedestal column.

This floor lamp is so pretty....Looks very elegant...Comes with a bulb but I bought my own, enjoy a dimmly lit living room so chose 15 watts. Would recommend this highly, could not believe the price. This is my first floor lamp......It deserves more than 5 stars. It put it together myself.

I love this lamp, it's classy and blends with just about anything you throw around for furniture.  It's a strong light and I never had a problem with tipping over- got a very strong base.  very easy to assemble...just a matter of lining up the pole with the cord and tightening the pole.  I bought this same lamp two years ago and surprised and happy to find another so I could pair them.

Looks way more expensive than it is. Nice heavy base. I bought one just to see and was so impressed that I bought a second lamp. It can be used with a regular light bulb, you'll just need to click it 3 times to turn it off. Highly recommend!

Better than what I was expecting. I got to put in a brighter bulb. It's heavy and sturdy. The way they packaged it was so helpful in putting it together. The only part that you have to be careful about is the screw bolt that connects the lamp pole together. You have to make sure that you place the part that connects the poles  in correctly are it will screw in tilted.

Light up this room.

Pros:

- Can be broken into sections for easy moving

Cons:
- Poor quality
- Crooked from base

Had trouble screwing in some of the components in the middle as the machining was crooked. Once full assembled, it became apparent the base is also crooked. (Photo attached, door for straightness reference)
