When you purchase, take doll out of packaging carefully. Do not use knife to unpack. Use small sharp scissors only. Cut banding on outer part of packaging away from dolls' face,hair and body. Carefully cut bandings at hairline away from dolls' hair and pull apart withyour fingers. It will separate. DO NOT BRUSH HAIR UNTIL AFTER CONDITIONING! Use a good conditioner and work it through her hair for about 3-5minutes. Brush with similiar brush she comes with but made for human hair. Let hair dry naturally. While hair is drying, you can clean her thoroughly with mild soap. I have been collecting dolks for a very long time and I know what needs to sometimes be done.I just purchased one of these dolls and now she looks better than she did on the box!!  Also try to keep anyone from rubbing on her face too much.

Proper Unpack and Care

I bought 2 of these for my granddaughters ( 4 & 6) and 2 of those beauty salon chairs that fit the 18 inch dolls. Both girls are having a blast styling and putting rollers in their hair ! I went to Walmart and bought styling combs,brushes, rollers and hair clips. They have already clocked in several hours of play and can't wait to come visit again. We found that the longer dresses for the 18 inch doll fit this Barbie..shorter of course..but different sites sell them. Of all the Barbie dolls these Rule !

This Barbie is made under license but not by Mattel. It is done very well with nice face paint and clothing. Easier to store than the My Size Barbie. I really like her.

Great Product

This is a great doll especially for the price. I actually purchased it for myself. I'm 35 and collect many Disney items, dolls, vintage characters, etc. Although this is something I would not normally collect I was very happy that I purchased it. If you position her the right way she is capable of standing on her own. And next to a younger child she would appear to be life size. She also comes with a brush so your child can comb and style her long hair. I'm sure that any child (as well as some of us adults) would love to add this doll to their collection.

Would highly recommend

My daughter loved it . but the only thing i was a lil bothered is that i tgough it was bigger. The picture showes a girl the size of my daughter and the barbie being tall around her shoulder hight and its not true. So they should atleast change the picture because it itsnt true the way it describes in the picture.

We bought the doll after thinking it would be a great gift but not get played with, but I am happy to say my daughter plays with it a lot.
Lately she's been the mother to all the other dolls.

The doll is pretty much the same as a regular 12" doll in features, except the shoes don't come off. We have been making our own clothes for the doll but everything has to match the pink shoes.

My daughter is 9 and was a birthday gift.

great toy

I bought this for my grand daughters fourth birthday. She adores it. The only thing wrong is they do not make clothes for this Barbie. Is that crazy or what? Why sell a doll
when you can not buy clothes or accessorizes for it. That is a big disappointment for my grand daughter.

luv the size,Id PAY 50.00 if she was like the Life in The Dream House Barbie fully articulated, mattel is sadly making everything poorly and have devalued the value of Barbie mine had thin hair in the back of her head,painted on shoes?stiff legs,rubber arms? AND yet there is a monster high doll coming out the same size FULLY ARTICULATED!poor Barbie ,Mattel is her worse enemy.

So the doll is so not the size as in the picture next to the girl! I did site to store and was shocked when I pulled it out of the box but I have to keep it because it's my daughters easter present. If you don't get it on clearance like I did for $14 then it's not worth the price buy something worth the money!
