Rated 2 out of 5 by speedbump Not tough enough for my 3 year old This item seemed to be quite sturdy when I first put it together, but I have 3 year old and 7 year old daughters and only after a few weeks the thin board that goes under the bed broke in half and then the bottom broke out. The frame is tough but it's the important parts that make it useful that are not made strong enough to handle young and tough children. The front doors will also rip right out of the wood if the children open them to far. 12/02/2007

It is sturdy and not hard to put together. I did it myself without my husband in about ten minutes. My seven year old loves it too and plays with her sister.
