So I haven't actually held a stopwatch to it, but it definitely plays at least 20 minutes but I think it may actually be more. But if you need longer without going in to interrupt, I keep the remote on my daughters door in case I need to play it again.

The music / lights automatically turn off after 25 minutes. However, the volume and lights gradually decrease after each 10 minute increment before turning off.

30 minutes. It will actually soften after 10 minutes and then again 10 mins later so that it isn't loud and then just turns off.

Somewhere between 20 and 30 minute if I remember right.

I think it stays on for about 25 minutes. It starts with the lights on, animals moving, and music playing. After a while, the lights start dimming. The lights go off first and the animals stop moving, the music softens and is the last thing to stop. Very subtle as if the soother is falling asleep, too. :-)

we havent played it long enough but volume does go down a little after 10minutes

The original batteries didn&#39;t last more then a week but I used alkaline batteries and it has been more then 3 weeks and it is still going strong.

What is the total amount of time this product plays music/lights/sound for before it stops?

No it does not. However this soother incorporates real-life ocean imagery and Baby Einstein characters that swim along in this scrolling aquarium scene that lights up and plays soothing melodies for your baby.

No, it just lights up and the creatures move around to appear like they are floating. Looks cool, but there is no actual water in the unit.

Yes. My daughter got this when she was 7 months old. I thought her how to turn it on herself. She's almost 14 months now, and turns it on in the early morning hours and falls right back to sleep.

My 15 month old can turn it on and off very easily

Yes, it has a large starfish shaped button. Easy for little hands to operate. Simply push and it'll play.

yes... there is an orange star button that the toddler can press which will start the device.

Yes he can. As often as he wants. My 2.5 year-old daughter uses it as a light sometimes.

Yes there is a button that your child can push - my 8 month old has done it though I suspect it is more out of chance; she reaches for the bright orange star and is sometimes successful at turning the unit on/off. I'm sure your almost 2 year old will figure it out really quickly after a few tries!

There are controls on the top that set if you want music with movement with lights or one or two of the features. There is a star button on the lower left that the child can push to turn it off and on after you make the settings you want. My 9 month old easily learned to operate it and loves playing with it. It also comes with a remote that the parent can use to turn it off or on without disturbing a sleeping baby.

Yes! My 7 month old can hit the star button at the bottom corner and turn it on by herself. There is also a remote.

Yes you can put it in a playpen or bassinet. It has an attachment on the back the easily straps on to the railing of a crib, playpen, or bassinet. You could also lean it up against the inside wall of all three as long as you supervise your baby to make sure he or she doesn&#39;t knock it over onto themselves.

My 7 week only is completely mesmerized. I love that there is an option to have just the sound with no lights. The only thing I think is missing would be to have a setting where there are lights but no music.

I was hesitant at first to pay this much but after getting it I think I would have paid more for it based on how much my sons loves it.

We received a gift card for our son and decided to get this item over a mobile. Our son absolutely LOVES this! He turns his head towards it as soon as we lie him down and turn it on. He falls asleep easily and peacefully! The product arrived in a timely manner and not damaged in the least. No scratches or anything (as I read in other reviews).
