My machine came with the pet solution which has a very pleasant smell. Since I do not have a pet, I decided to try the hard floor sanitizing solution. Quite simply, it stinks! The odor has a sour smell to it. It does seem to clean as well. I made sure that my machine is all cleaned and dry before using it each time, but after trying the sanitizing product twice, I still notice the sour smell. I definitely am a fan of the machine but will probably go back to the pet solution.
