This model KB505U is a &quot;Wired&quot; keyboard, not wireless as others have stated in answers. It has a 5ft cord with USB connection to your computer. If you want wireless that is different model. I find Walmart descriptions are hardly ever correct. Copy the name and model in the description and Google it and you will get more information.

No this model keyboard is wired and does not include a USB. Personally i do not care for the lag of wireless.

Does this keyboard plug into an USB Port?

no, i have left mine pc on, so it has gone into hiber or sleep, but kyboard stays lit, with win7,i suppose its powered directly from usb source.

Not sure. They say LED's have a 100,000 hour lifetime. So do the LEDs in Holiday lights and LED flashlights -- I've had some of those bulbs burn out. I like the red light best for night work. I agree with you. It would be nice to turn the lights off when not in use. When not using my machine, I will turn it to my least favorite color (white/purpilish white).

I found nothing stating how the keys are backlit-- 3 LED's or one that can change colors by different voltages. I hope this helps.

I love this keyboard. I don't mind taking the mere second or two to select the color I want, and I don't think the sound is loud or annoying at all. All keyboards make some sound, and this one isn't any worse than any other one I've used over the years. The way the light comes through the keys, I don't anticipate that the letters will ever "wear off" like my last keyboard. I like the fact that I can unfold the back legs and have it slant. Good value, great product.
