This is a good antenna to get for your converter box. I live in an area that has a lot of trees but it found all the channels I needed and more! It's expensive with the shipping, but still worth the money! Very good product!

What antenna could be recommended for the new converter box, I live out in the Willcox area and reception is difficult to obtain?

It will work fine. I had the converter box and bought a 26 inch HD-TV. No cable in the room. Only had to hook the antenna to the tv and it registered 8 analog and 10 digital stations so far for my area, 5 more stations than the converter box did. Verly clear pics with the digital stations, a little fuzzy with the analog but eh, June 12th is comin and it won't matter.

VERY GOOD RECEPTION,FOR A 32" HDTV.THE TOWERS ARE ANY WARE FROM 10 TO 20 MILES AWAY.THE SALE PERSON AT WALMART ,WAS TELLING ME THAT THE OLD TYPE RABBIT EARS DON'T DO MUCH WITH THE NEW DIGITAL SIGNAL. HEIGHT DOESN'T DO ANY BETTER,WIDE HORIZONTAL IS BETTER. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T CARRY THAT TYPE IN THE STORE,HAD TO ORDER ONLINE.

where all station transmit from .

Great antenna

This antenna is pretty pricey but it does work on tv's that have the converter box from analog to digital. I had an antenna that was cheap and not giving me all the channels I needed. After a few tries, this antenna gave me all the channels I needed and found some more! If you need a good (and better!) antenna for getting good reception and all your digital channels, this is the one to get!

Great digital antenna!

This was the second antenna purchased after the HD conversion. I am now able to pick up all the local channels but one and would recommend the device to all who just don't want to deal with the cable folks.

Did the Trick

I have this antenna in the kitchen on a very old TV and the reception is great. I pick up Washington DC area stations and Baltimore area stations equally well. I have it hooked up for two weeks and couldn't be more pleased. Installation was very simple.

This antenna is pretty good when it works. Some days it works fine the other its scrammling but, maybe I'm not being fair it is a good antenna for the most part when you can get that perfect angel.

Better Antenna

I bought 2 of these antennae. I tried one at my home in Overland Park KS which is no more than 15 miles from local Kansas City channels. I tried using it in an upstairs bedroom and could not get 2 stations at all and the others ranged from good to fair. No matter where I placed the antenna I got the same results. I found that the rabbit ears I had was able to get all the stations pretty well, so a more expensive antenna did nothing for us. I then connected the terk to a first floor tv in rural Lawrence KS which is probably 50 miles from the Kansas City towers and all stations came in just fine. Rabbit ears in Lawrence brought poor reception. So the bottom line is results vary depending on your location and being closer to the stations does not guarantee greater success.

Mixed Review

I like the look of the antenna and it fits better in the space that I have for it than the upright kind. It is a better value that the RCA antenna that I purchased previously as well. The only problem that I have is that it still does not pick up all of the local network stations in my area.

Great if in the right location

The inside placement of the antenna and the outside distance from the tower will dictate how well any antenna will work for in your particular situation. I've tried so many different antennas that I'm almost ready to pay for cable. For now however, I'm purchasing my second Terk Low-Profile Indoor Amplified model TV-5 Antenna, because the price is right, not because of the picture/sound quality, or features; they are fair. I purchased the first TV-5 four years ago, and paid three times the current price. To date I haven't found a better replacement yet. I currently have both models TV-4 without an amplifier and TV-5 with an amplifier. Note I purchased the TV-4 by mistake; thought I was buying the TV-5 at a discount. I've used both the TV-4/5 with a converter box, on a HDTV 14in, and on a HDTV 42in. When I've connected the TV-5 to the converter box I picked up ten more channels than the TV-4, however not as many channels as I do when I connect the same TV-5 to the 14in where I receive and pick up additional channels that aren't received on the converter box. On the 42in I connected both rabbit ears without a dial and a TV-4 and receive most of the same channels; however with the TV-5 I pick up additional channels, but not necessarily the same channels picked up on the converter box or on the 14in; there's no consistency, because "duh" it's the location s…... I tried rabbit ears with a dial and was told by a salesperson it might work, because it worked for him, but no guarantees; needless to say the rabbit ears with the dial didn't work any better than the TV-4. I even tried the Terk Omnidirectional Amplified Indoor Digital HDTV Antenna; don't waste your money; it didn't pick up any more channel than the TV-5. So, all I can say is if you're going to spend any money select an antenna with an amplifier, which will require the use of your electricity, and my warning is just because it works for me it doesn't mean it will work for you.

Location, Location, Location

bought this product because my rabbit ear antenna does not pick up channels 7, 9, 11, and 13 at work. after reading all the decent reviews i decided to buy this. it worked the same as my rabbit ear and at half of the times was less effective than my rabbit antenna at picking up signal. This is junk! I live in southern california and this does not work well! invest in another product!
