Liners fit but as the top does not latch and it is extremely unstable base, liners will get moved when your pet steps on the side and tilts the box. The lid falls off and liners get torn or moved as the pet tries to stay right side up.

I do not use this as a liter box for my cats. I use it for a safe warm place for my cat by putting a good warm cat bed inside, so he will be nice and warm from the weather because he just does not like being in the house.

There is a &quot;filter&quot; at the top that is suppose to control odor but it doesn&#39;t fit right. I don&#39;t think it controls any odor.

Not the ones I purchased. The two trap containers would not seat and I could not snap the top on. I wouldn&#39;t even recommend this cat box period.

It has a filter by the handle. You purchase these separately (one is included when you buy the litter box). There is no stability in the base, please set it on the floor and see how easy it overturns.

The cats can take out the flimsy filter and play with it. The filter does work in the effect that in the air vent/slot on the top of the box the poop vapor isn&#39;t as bad. It still smells likes a catbox when you change it and when you put your nose right up to the filter area. The filtering effect could probably aslo be accomplished by using dryer sheets folded up and secured in the shape and dimensions of the opening.

As per the door, I took the door off because I have cats not kittens and they are &quot;spookey cats&quot; and don&#39;t like change unless its a new box, new toy, or new treats LOL. To me the door being off also enables them to stick their heads out and see just to be comfortable in their surroundings. Plus if you have a bigger cat or athletic built cat his shoulders will need the room to. The box is deep and the design is good for easy in and out, but it&#39;s smaller in actual area of litter field than other boxes. I think there are a few other sizes.

It does. There&#39;s an opening below the handle, you just can&#39;t see it in the picture. It comes with a little odor filter. I don&#39;t use them so I don&#39;t know how effective they are.

i see NO filter in the photo and no explanation . i guess the &#39;&#39;door&#39;&#39; is the odor controller-- so maybe just fancy words for advertising--lol.

It has a filter that fits along the top by the handle. The base is not stable and will tilt meaning you need to place this litter box in an area designed to hold the base upright. The filters are Arm &amp; Hammer and you can do a search on Walmart.com to see how they work.

So I've seen reviews by people complaining that the top doesn't lock so you can't pick it up by the handle. My question is why would anyone actually want to do that? It's asking for trouble even with the tops that supposedly "lock" on. Anyway, I love the high back box because of how my cat uses it. So the high back box is great and they've become hard to find. I also like the fact that the corners are slightly rounded so I'm not trying coax wet litter out of corners (hint: it never goes well). 

I also read a complaint about the opening. I can understand how that could be a problem for some people although it's not for me. I take the plastic opening cover off. Yes, it's a large opening. Yes, litter gets outside the box (I use a litter mat that keeps it from scattering.

So for me, I would not use another litter box. They're hard to find so when I DO see them (Walmart and Amazon are the only places I've found them), I tend to get them.

Really Like These Litter Boxes

I am very happy with the design of the hooded litter pan. Sure cuts down on the litter getting on the floor & the odor between cleanings. The pkg. came earlier than expected! Our girl likes using it better than the dishpan she had been using.

Great kitty litter for the low cost

my cats adjusted to it just fine, I took the door off as to not spook them. The cats like to pull out the filter thingy, so it doesn't stay in that well at all, but the box itself is great.

keep your kitty area klean

Wish the top was able to lock into place. It gets knocked askew occasionally.  Did not need door, but some may like it.  Otherwise a great buy.

I have two cats and this litter pan works perfectly fine for them. They've adjusted to having to go through the door and pairing the box with an extra litter catching mat helps keep even more litter from getting on the floor. The only thing that I have an issue with is the top of the box not being attached to the bottom; it's not as convenient as being able to just lift the box out. Instead, I have to slide it out then take the lid off. Otherwise, this is a very good product.

You would think the product you buy would resemble the picture. The litter box I received looks NOTHING like this picture. I get it, it's a litter box, but if you display a certain product, I expect that product...not something you just randomly decided to put in a box and ship. Cool.

The lid does not snap on or have a way to secure it in place. Have to lift by the base, completely making the handle purposeless. It's an accident waiting to happen. The shape is not useful and scoopable liter is wasted by the extreme depth in one end and shallowness in other end. Hate this product.

So I was litter box shopping and ended up getting this box thinking it would be pretty good quality because its arm and hammer.  Well the top does not clip onto the bottom it just sits on top of it - and the door does not work right - it gets stuck when the cat goes in- falls off on the way out a few times he got stuck inside  - i find myself picking up this smelly door all day long (except yesterday the one plastic peg thing that holds the one side in broke off -- so no more door for us.   The little black filter does not even fit right .  We only had this thing for 2 months - I wish I would have saved the receipt -

Waste of money!
