The lids to the canisters screw on and are airtight.

There is no threading on the lids, but you still have to give a twist to get them on and off. They do fit snug.

Does the lid pop on, screw on, clamp on or what?

First one holds 64 oz. dry, second one holds 48 regular size tea bags, third one holds 2 lbs of meal smallest holds 1 lb. bag coffee.

I use the tallest canister for spaghetti noodles, which has plenty enough room without breaking them. The box will show the exact capacity of each canister for you to determine what it&#39;ll hold. I bought mine for things like spaghetti, tea, grits, and rice. They&#39;re great for those things you use often, so you can be reminded (from the see through window), when to buy more.

As far as the largest 2, can either hold full bag of suger/flour?

No, there aren&#39;t any threads on the lids. However they do fit nice and snug.

They do screw on if that&#39;s what you&#39;re asking.

I have purchased many of these sets. They are perfect in use, appearance and value! The first set I bought at a local major department store chain, I paid $39.95. I bought three more sets from Walmart for wedding gifts at $29.95!

The Perfect Cannister set

I have resisted getting a canister set for years and am glad that I purchased this as my first one.  Not only is it lovely - and doesn't look like something from the 70s - it is air-tight and hold a great deal of product in each canister.  If you are looking for a streamlined and modern set to add to your kitchen, I would recommend this product for sure.

Beautiful and Functional!

I was ready to be disappointed but I think the set is nice. It is pretty heavy because it is basically glass with a thin layer of stainless steel on the side. The lid are made of the same stainless steel with some rubbery seal on it. It is not plastic, though it is so thin and light than I can see why someone could get confused.

This set of canisters are glass with a "stainless steel look" overlay. Probably not the most durable over time, but great-looking anf functional for the value.

Sleek set of canisters

I got these canisters for Christmas. Arrived quickly, and were not damaged at all.  I love the look. My only complaint is that the sizes and smaller than most normal canisters. The medium size only holds about 3/4 of a 4# bag of sugar. And the large only holds about 3/4 of 5# bag of flour. Otherwise, I love them !!

Upon receiving and examining this item, I found that several were dented and the bottoms of two of them had jagged metal edges, sharp and absolutely dangerous if you were unsuspecting and picked it up. Could lay out a finger to the bone.

Do not purchase this product online because the glass jars inside the stainless steel canister will shatter during shipment although it could have been the lack of caring of the associate who shipped the item. The twist off lids looked cheap as well.

Look cute online but not so much upon arrival

I was really excited to order these glass canisters. Really needed the spaghetti sized. When they arrived I could hear glass clinking. The box that they were packaged in was too thin for the weight of this set. I had ordered two sets. Both sets had broken canisters. I took them straight to my neighborhood Walmart and returned them. These sets are extremely heavy and the ones that were not broken were not easily handled due to weight, also they are shipped via 3rd party. Because of the weight I would have returned them even if they had not been broken.

when i received my order they were broken. I called and customer service sent me a replacement, but the replacement order was also broken and the lids were dented. I am not calling for a replacement of the replacement. I am taking a loss on this one.
