My husband slept on it for the first time and could not believe how comfortable this Futon bed frame was, and we purchased the 8" pad instead of 6" .. My hubby 5'11 about 245 and his feet did not hang off, also sturdy ... Great Product!!!! Would recommend!!!! 03/07/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Angiesplace Very Nice for the Price I Purchased this futon for my apartment; I put it together myself in about and hour and a half; all tools were included in the box and everything was clearly marked, labeled or tagged. I only have one complaint ~ once I had the futon mattress in the frame it was very hard for me to put in the "sleep" position; so, now I sleep on it in the couch position which is quite comfortable for me. It appears to me sturdy and well made. 12/30/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by ThatPoshGirl Nice budget futon I've only had this for a few days, so these are first impressions.It was shipped to my door and the packaging was really good. The box was surprisingly flat and despite the frame being metal, it wasn't too heavy, but still feels sturdy.Assembly was really straight forward. It came with all the hardware and tools sorted and packaged in a blister pack. The way the hardware was packed would make it very difficult for pieces to get lost during shipping. It took me about 2 hours to assemble it by myself, and that included taking several lengthy breaks. The most difficult part for me was the last step, where hooks need to be attached to the upper and lower frame to help prevent sagging. The frame was in the seated position while I did this, but I think doing it in the sleeping position would make it easier.I purchased this frame as part of a bundle that included an 8" futon mattress. Once the mattress is on the bed, going from seated to sleeping position is pretty straight forward, but going from sleeping to seated position is a little trickier. You really can't put it in the seated position by lifting it from the front, that just causes the whole bed to lift up. I've found that the best way to go from sleeping to seated is to stand at the side of the frame, place one foot on the lower arching bar, lift the seat frame up as far as I can, then lift the back so that the seat and back form a sort of V. I lift them both together like this until it locks.The first few times I used it, it sounded very clangy, especially the first time I would sit on it after changing from sleeping to seating or visa versa. It's been a few days now and it seems like the pieces are settling into place and it is less noisy.It does sit a bit low, but, overall, it is fairly comfortable. I think it was a good value. 05/25/2013
