These look great and were so easy to assemble and this from someone who all but threw out a bed frame because I was struggling! The directions were easy to follow and the one mistake I did make (put the foot rest on backwards) was easy to correct! These are "cheap" barstools so the chrome is obviously not chrome and as stated in the product description the leather is faux. The foot rest is exactly that, a foot rest and should not be used to climb up into the chair.  As a tiny human (5' tall) I tend to climb on anything I can to get where I need to be or get what I need - the bottom shelf in a grocery store, for instance, to get something from the top shelf - and so I very carefully tested the foot rest for the climbing purpose and it definitely can't be used for anything except to rest your tootsies on once your seated. Again, these are "cheap" and serve their function. Great product for the price!

These are the worst. chairs you can buy, they are not durable and will start shaking in a few months and break. Mine lasted about 10 months and broke.
