This is for the 2012 Model of the Nexus 7

It's the 2012 (first gen) model. I made the mistake of thinking it was the 2013 and ordered it (then sent it back).

The view they have of the back of this tablet has no camera, so that would mean that it is the older 2012 model. That's the quickest way to tell which model it is. They decided to put a rear camera in the 2nd generation (2013) model, but if it isn't important to have the camera there isn't much difference.

This model is the 2012 Nexus 7 model. Model listed for $349 is likely to be the 2013 model.

No. This is not the 2013 model. It is the earlier 2012 model. As of this writing the retail price of the 2013 model is $269. I'm pretty sure it was this price 4 weeks ago when this question was posted. However, if your looking for the "white" case version, because of it limited availability, I've seen it priced as high as $450. Buy the black one and paint it white or just pretend.

We really like the pad although we ended up taking it back to Walmart and ordering it from somewhere else because they shipped us the Nexus 1 instead of the one we ordered which was the Nexus 2. I will never use Walmart.com again.

I would recommend to anyone who reads books. But I have not found a device to charge it in the car when traveling.

This is my second Nexus 7 and It worked great.

I love my new tablet. It has a lot of space on it, so, I can download as much music as I want. And watch as many movies on the internet as I please. I can store as many games and apps. I can actually, first time, have a tablet that I can play video games on. I really love this tablet. I would recommend this tablet to anyone who needs a tablet that plays a ton games, download a tons music, and download a variety of apps. This is a great product Google has designed.

Best Tablet Ever Made!

After much research my son decided on a Nexus 7 tablet. He is very pleased with the screen clarity , size and ease of use. He seems completely happy with it. I was pleased with how quickly it arrived since this was a gift for him . I'm unsure how it compares in price to others , because I did no research .

Nexus tablet

Bought mine when they first came out over two years ago. In fact, it probably was one of first in the States. It has been a great tablet and easy to upgrade and add programs. The screen is very good and has good sound, although maybe a little low for those hard of hearing. But it does have headphone outlet which I have only used to check to make sure it worked. Even using it daily for the last two years, the battery has almost the same life as when new. Great little tablet which has been carried hundreds of thousand miles and still looks and works as new.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced tablet.

Great Tablet

I work as a construction engineer and therefore most of my time is spent outside on a construction site. This device allows me to access my Citrix desktop and do administrative tasks from anywhere. Bigger than my cell which is too small but I'm not dragging my laptop around to do office work.

Good little device. Perfect size for on-the-go

This tablet is fine as far as tablets go. My complaint is with the advertising of it. Unfortunately, I was looking for the newer version by searching for "Google Nexus 7 2013 FHD 32GB" and this product always came up as the best deal. I must've been very tired when I ordered it because I thought it was the 2013 version (2nd generation) of the Nexus 7. It's not. And that's why I'm writing this just in case someone else thinks they are ordering the 2nd generation model. This is a first generation model. It works fine as a tablet. It's a bit prone to screen damage and breakage and after the year warranty expires, it's much too expensive to fix. If you do order it, and Walmart has an extended warranty (and you aren't made of money) then I'd recommend the extension even though it's third party. If you don't mind paying for another one after the warranty is out, then don't bother with the extension. It's a good, but a bit old, of a tablet. Which largely means, it's just slower than most newer tablets, and it doesn't have a back camera (which I think is very important to have). I'd choose it over many of the lower cost models just because I know it to be a good product. Just not the product I was searching for. Unfortunately Walmart didn't have the version I wanted, which I bought for $40 more elsewhere, which is why I don't recommend it (over it's newer version).

There is nothing inherently wrong with this tablet

The screen just flickered. I have one from when it came out and it still works it belongs to my 3 year old. We just went to store to return and just bought the 2013.

Sorry to say I had to return the Nexus. It would not turn on. I went somewhere else to get a new tablet.

Wish things had turned out better. Price was good had it worked.
