It can be both. These vest are adjustable, so, you can move the weights around or take some out as you need.

Is the weight evenly distributed front and back or just in the front?

Each weight in the vest weighs 3 pounds each.

if i buy the 150 pound vest how much is each weight? and what is the lowest amount of weight the 150 pound vest could be if all weights are removed?

I read on another site that the weights are filled with sand. That means that the weight will shift because of gravity. Also, in the reviews I read everyone said that each sand filled weight was easy to adust by turning them up and down until the sand was even again. Then once you do that you just drop them back in the slot made for them.
The info I read was each weight was 2lbs. plus very adjustable, easy to maintain and to customize. 

I know I plan on buying one. I don&#39;t have one yet but I will in the next couple months. 

I have several other CAP products and everyone of them are well made. I am VERY quality conscious. So, I always get the BEST for my money. I will only buy products that the 5 and 4 star ratings are at least 90% or more. Plus I read every 1 star review to see where or if there is a problem with each important purchase I make. Then if any problem does come up with anything I have bought I call the corporate office to file a verbal complaint to a real person. I make sure it is someone in power to make me a happy and satisfied customer. This is to let you know my reviews are 100% honest and from someone hard to please when I spend my money.
I HATE getting ripped off and I make darn sure I never do. The company has to either replace the product with a completely brand new one or give me a 100% refund with them paying for all the return and other shipping costs. 
I am not sure what they are made of but in all the reviews and research I did people mentioned how comfortable the vests were plus durable.

I outgrew my 20 pound vest and this one works just fine.,and costs much less than other brands.  A good value

Good product at a good price

This is the first weight vest I have ever purchased so I do not have anything to compare it to.  I bought the 75 lb. vest and it came with 17 weight bags to adjust to whatever weight is needed. It seems to be well made and fits very comfortably. I'm happy with the purchase.

Got it 10 days back. Seems to be a good product. Haven't tested with all the weights that's why giving 4 stars at this moment. The build quality of the vest and the weights appears to be good.

Good Product

I love this vest.  I have been looking around for a while till I found this.   I like it because I can adjust the weight from 0 - 50 lbs.   It's comfortable to wear and easy to use.

Better than expected

Great vest and awesome price with weights included. Problem is the sand weights included do not fit properly in the slots provided. There are single and double sized pouches on the vest. A single 4 lb weight will not fit in the single pouch and only 1 of the 4 lb weights will fit in the double sized pouch. So you end up having to put one 4 pound weight in the double pouch. Having said that , its an awesome vest. You just are unable to utilize the very generous 80 lbs of weights provided fully and would  have to purchase separate bar weights if you wanted to fully utilize the product.

Recommended with  Major Reservations

Not adequate for working out, or running.  Sand weights are difficult to put back in pouches.
