There a couple different possibilities why it has fewer pages. It might be because its a hard cover or a paperback. Depending on which one you have. That or the books height is. Some or really big and some are smaller. I hope this resolved your question. ;)

I bought this book and the 5 previous books in this series and I don't regret a thing! This book is absolutely amazing! It has a very interesting storyline, inspiring characters, amazing vocabulary, and is just overall an amazing book. I would strongly suggest getting this book if you are into Fantasy Fiction and have an active imagination.

Love the Mortal Instruments!

Im the biggest fan of the mortal instruments, infernal devices! Anyhow, this book is very thick! Which is not a bad thing. I haven't finished it yet but i have been reading it evertime i wake up. I read this book so much because it gets me in another world. I wish i could take Clary's place so bad! I love Jace and i wish he was my boyfriend. I wish Isebelle was my sister and that Alec was my brother. Simon is the best bestfriend i know. I want to be in their world so badly. I want to be a shadowhunter so badly. This book is amazing so far. Anyone should get the City of Bones and start this amazing series. &lt;3 :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

I really am.enjoying this book! I had problems with book actually coming to the store, but I'm glad it finally came. The characters are the sane the adventure even more increased than the last five. I'm so glad I purchased this book! I'd been waiting for it to be a better price in hardcover and got it immediately when I saw its lowered price. I'm planning on slowly collecting them all in hardcover every Christmas.

I was so excited to finally get this book! I was able to get it for half of the price online than buying it in a book store. I just started it and can't wait to see how it ends!!

Awesome end to a wonderful series!

after reading the preview of the book many times (over many months) I was expecting a bang of an ending with several of my favorites being killed off and the world within the pages to be ripped apart.
there were a couple characters killed but none of which were main characters or even secondary - they were more like third tier and that was fine by me. this made-up world wasn't ripped in half but it was affected like a bomb being dropped in the ocean from a beach - you can see the landing, you saw it explode, the waves are furious and moving in every direction, and heading towards you. and all you can do I watch and wait, feeling the dread as it nears you...
and that's where it leaves off - now we have to wait for the next set of trilogies to know what happens. fall of 2015 cant get here soon enough.
although I had come up with ways this story - and the many plots and story lines within - could have ended, I got nothing right. and that's what I love about Cassandra Clare's books - she keeps you reading and when you think you know what's about to happen, it goes a different way that is somehow better than what you had thought of.
I got to see my favorite characters from this series and the prequel together, mingling and helping each other. it was beautiful and sad, bittersweet to end it all. there were scenes that made me want to growl in frustration, others that made me want to stare at the wall in shocked silence, and others that made me want to throw the book at the wall before cradling it to my chest with tears streaming down my face.
I recommend this book and all others by Cassandra Clare - the only thing that makes me regret reading her books is the wait between and the heartbreaking, wonderful scenes in the pages. and yet its the latter that keeps me coming back for more.
and the sarcasm ... all the Gods of the world, bless the sarcasm.
