Hi Joseph! This trike has a single-speed drivetrain.

Does this bike have any rear gears? Or is it a single speed?

Yes. Some Walmart stores do. Call one of your local Walmarts &amp; ask them if they would be able to assemble it for you. I called and asked before using site to store &amp; they told me they could. It took two extra days but it was worth it.

I called and asked about this. I didn&#39;t get a definitive YES but I was led to believe by the CSR that if you order it &quot;ship to store&quot; they will assemble it for you.

DOES WALMART PROVIDE AN ASSEMBLY SERVICE?

Hi Shannonk, you cannot attach a bike trailer to the Meridian. It has not been tested to pull extra weight. Thanks for your question!

Than depends on the trailer. &nbsp; The basket folds down so it would be easy for the trailer to attach the the seat post.  Otherwise you would have to rig a trailer hitch to the braces under the rear axel. (Under the basket)

I love everything about this trike! The color, the ride, and the size. I'm so happy with this trike, everyone is friendly and like to stop and chat about it. I've been riding it two days and now have two neighbors that will join me for my morning ride on our trikes. I had to add my own rear view mirrors for street riding.

Beautiful Trike

Great trike for the price. Entry level trike that is sharp looking and rides well. Bought this for my mother-in-law and it looks great. 

Pros:
- Decent build quality for the price.
- Looks sharp.
- Gear ratio appropriate for a one speed. But no big hills on this one.

Cons:
- Not hard to assemble but you have to read the instructions and it helps to have an assistant.
- Rear brake is weak (but front brakes balances it out.

Overall, good value overall. Haven't had it long enough to judge reliability.

Great value for a trike

I had wanted a 3-wheeler for beach riding and I'm very happy I went with the Schwinn. It's good quality and enjoyable to ride. It seems as easy to pedal as a 2-wheeled beach cruiser. I did purchase the at-home assembly which worked out fine after one false start that the "Handy" customer service handled well. I have added a number of accessories, including a seat with a back rest and more ergonomic handgrips (pictures show original seat and grips). Riding a 3-wheeler is different than 2, so it takes some getting used to the feel, but it's great for my purpose and I've gotten a number of compliments on it. The basket is great for all the beach gear and I added a handlebar bag for small things. Mine is the mint green and was a good price for $329. I looked at off-brands on Amazon and I'm glad I went with the Schwinn. The guy who assembled it said it was much better quality than some of the other ones he's assembled. I look forward to years of beach riding on my "Key Lime Cruiser!"
