I bought this for my daughters friend for her birthday. They had a blast playing with it. It is better than I remember as a child. I liked it so much I got one for my daughter for Christmas. Can't wait to play with her.

Better than I remember

The Easter bunny got this toy for my 7yr old daughter. She hasn't stopped playing with it since. She loves to try to get colors to change. It's great exercise too!

Fun toy!

My 6 year old daughter loves this game. She also realized that it was great exercise and helps keeps her active and not sitting in front of electronics all day.

Great Kids Toy

My nephew purchased it for his 6yr daughter for her Birthday (her request).
She loves it. The updated vision is great with the lights, however it probably should not be used on sidewalks or driveways. Grass or indoor on a rug works well. The plastic used in the product makes usage on hard surfaces / friction questionable. May crack.

Fun Game

My 9 year old daughter got this for her birthday over the weekend. I was hoping it would be a lot like the one I had as a kid. This skip-it is a huge joke. It says it is for 6 years and up. The hole where their feet goes through is way to big and falls off easily. It is so hard to even get it going. Not to mention the lights on it didn't even work on it. Don't waste your time on this product.

Not a good product

I bought this product for a fun form of getting some exercise. I had a very similar product as a child and used it daily, so I was excited to see a new form of an old friend. Unfortunately this does not respond like an old friend. The leg opening is HUGE and is not closed so my foot keeps falling out before I can even get it to swing around. I am not sure if it would stay on with centrifugal force or not. There is a strange slit/groove in the plastic but I don't see any way of tightening the foot opening. There were no instructions included, I guess it was supposed to be self explanatory. I'm going to try tightening the foot loop with some electrical tape. If anyone knows a trick that I don't I'd appreciate some feedback. Kinda sad it is not as simple as the old one from childhood :(

What am I missing here?

My daughter was so disappointed when she got this in and it was too big for her. She had a cheap ball type skip thing before we bought this and the ball broke off so we ordered this bc we couldn't find one like her old one. She can't even use this skip it bc it slings off her bc too big. She is 8. And has size 2 shoe size so it's not that she has small feet. It might be fine for an older kid or child with a large ankle.

Too large for my daughter to wear around her ankle

I saw these on sale for black friday and picked up two. I loved skip-it as a kid. It was probably the only athletic toy I was good at using. I think the light idea is awesome, so I figured this would be fun.

First, the ankle ring is very large and is constantly flying off of my kids feet. Also, it is not fully closed. If it wasn't falling off, it was catching on shoelaces. There is no way to keep the momentum going if it is stuck on your shoe.

Next, the cord is this odd, flexible, twisted mess. It is very hard to tell which way is up. It also wraps around your leg way to easily causing the light box to get under your feet and trip you. The one I had as a kid had a much stiffer line and if you missed, stepping on it did not make you fall, but if you step on the light box while moving, you trip.

Last is the light box section. It has a weird shape that does not really work well for switching legs or direction. As I said above, it causes tripping problems if it gets under your feet that I don't remember having with the ball when I was young, and I was someone who tripped a lot.

I am not impressed.

This is not the Skip-it of the 90's

Skip it in the past was an easy to use jump rope alternative. This was difficult for me and nearly impossible for my 9 year old daughter. Very dissappointed.

I bought three of these for my granddaughters for Easter. Very dissatisfied. They all found them very hard to use. The strap that went around the ankle was too large. Would not recommend.
