No... this product does not have an automatic voltage regulator.

Chances are it will work IF you use a voltage adapter to step down to 120 volts.

Aluminum is not magnetic, so no, it won't work with your aluminum pressure canner. There are some sites on Google that talk about canning on an induction stove. It must be made of iron or steel (use a magnet).

No, pots and pans have to be magnetic (stainless steel is fine). If unsure, put a magnet to the bottom of the pot and see if it holds tightly.

No. This product works by using magnetic energy. Many of today's cooking products are made of stainless steel, but are mixed with alloys that inhibit the ability to be magnetized.

I have a set of cast iron and a set of cookware that is porcelain coated steel. If you are not sure about cookware, carry a refrigerator kitchen magnet with you when shopping. If it sticks, the cookware will work. The unit will heat up to 700 degrees, and heats unbelievably fast! Of course the old fashioned steel porcelain clad hot water-bath canner would work.

I use my pressure cooker on this, mine is 10L. But remember it must be stainless steel or some other metel. (mine is stainless steel) Aluminum wil not work. If a magnet sticks it will work.

By experience, i have learned that not all stainless steel works with induction. Best way to find out, try the magnet on it to see if it sticks. If it sticks, it will work.

GREAT FOR RV COOKING...WONT HEAT THE RV UP

This is my first induction cooktop. I researched about the product before purchasing. Made sure I had pots and pans which I tested with a magnet to make sure I had something to cook with. To my surpriseI got a whole set ..... I was like ...WOW. I have only had it a week so I hope for longevity. I have made steaks, omlettes, pancakes,grilled cheese sandwiches, boiled large pot of water for cooking pasta and making large batch of ice tea. I am very happy. It cooks just as well as my LG range stovetop and a heck of alot cheaper. Thats why I got this ccooktop as my large element on the LG went. I almost dropped when I heard how much it would be to repair..Forget That!!! I ordered it online and it was delivered in lightening speed to my doorstep. Very pleased with product and Walmarts service.

Alot better than expected

I purchased both a NuWave induction cooker and this one. They were quite similar. I tried this one and it works beautifully if you want an induction cooker. Luckily I already had pans that were magnetic so I didn't have to purchase any new cookware. This unit is very efficient and a pleasure to use. I'm taking the NuWave back because it costs $42 more and didn't seem worth the extra money.

good product

Bought this looking to cook food using the sous vide method but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a sous vide machine. It keeps the temperature constant and works perfectly. The only thing I would change is to have more smaller temperature increments. The temperature settings are in 20 degree increments.

Great for Sous Vide

I bought two, one as a second one to go with a Nuwave unit purchased last year, and one to give as a gift for a friend. I am very pleased with this unit and it offers great value for the price. I have a large collection of cast iron, some more than half century old, and I also have some induction ready stainless skillets and the unit works great with either. It is used for everything from cooking eggs to deep frying fish, and does low temp cooking and high temp cooking equally well.

Well satisfied for the price

Love induction cooking! Some think it more flexible than gas, & more energy efficient. This cooker is a bargain! There are more powerful cookers out there, but at 1300 watts, this one suits me just fine. Easy to use. Can hold at a temp or hold at an energy output. I might hesitate to put my heavy 6.5 qt enamel-on-cast-iron Dutch/French oven on the glass surface but ... if careful, there will be lots of soups & stews in our future. Induction cooking offers an even, well-distributed "simmer" that is totally impossible with electric or gas. Excellent value!

Love this cooker.

Great product, heats fast and evenly. Works well with steel based or cast iron. Anything magnetic, so check your cookware first! I use it with cast iron to keep from scratching our glass kitchen cooktop and in the wet bar for heating water. Timer and automatic shut off if no cookware on surface. Preset temperature settings. Base stays cool. Highly recommend

I find that the induction cook top met all descriptions as advertised. Its fast, no difference that I can detect in the food quality, cleans so much easier then a stove top and can be placed anywhere there is an outlet. Especially recommend for people who are starting to get forgetful.

Temperature adjustments too broad. Twenty degree jumps make it impossible to cook at a specific temp. Add variances in hot spots on the induction ready skillet I bought just for this cook top and I end up with burned areas on fried meats or very long cook times. Using an older cast iron skillet made no difference in resulting hot spots. Since I have had and used this item for only a short time I will continue to practice and see if my manipulations of temp and different utensils will change the outcome.

Not real happy with this purchase.
