Yes, it can be used to heat a garage. I have one and it does a VERY good job. I keep mine set around 55 degrees when I'm not in the garage, but when I'm in the garage I turn it up to 70-75 degrees.

Yes,I think that is the main purpose for this heater.But it is still a good idea to have some ventilation.I have a 20 by 40 barn with gravel floor and it keeps it between 60 and 70 degrees with outside temp around 20 to 30 degrees

It can run Diesel #2 and fuel oil #1. It says it on the box and in the manual. I've been running offroad diesel in it for a month (no tax so its 80 cents cheaper a gallon than Kero at the pump) and it runs just fine.

Yes, you can burn on-road diesel fuel in these heaters and it works great. There's nothing special you have to do, just refill it with diesel after the kerosene runs out. I burned it in mine the other day and it has less smell than the kerosene and still provides the same heat.

ALSO USES #1 DIESEL BUT IT WILL SMELL MORE. I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT SAYS IT BUT I HAVE SEEN IT IN THE AD DETAILS AND SPECS

However #1 diesel/fuel oil may also be used if kerosene is not available.

You can burn diesel fuel. I use diesel in mine because it is cheaper. I used to burn Jet A when I had access to it, that stuff burned cleaner than diesel but the diesel is clean to burn also.

Fuel consumption is moderate. Based on how much you use and how often it runs continuously. The max is 5 gals, and there is an accurate fuel guage to monitor when you are low or full (looks just like a fuel guage on a lawn tractor). There is only one setting On/Off, however the thermostat settings are incremental 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 degrees etc....When the ambient temp reaches the desired setting, the unit automatically stops running (doesn't turn off). Then if the temp drops, the unit turns back on and continues running. It's pretty awesome and great value for the $$.

It hold 5gal. It has a fuel gauge. It also has a thermostate. No H,M L stuff. Set the theromstate. It states that it will run for 8-9hrs. on a full tank. might be more or less depending on where you set thermostate.

The tank size is supposed to be 5 gallons, but I couldn't get more than 4 in there. There is no low/med/high selector switch in this model, the larger models all have them though. It says it goes through a half a gallon an hour, but it's closer to a full gallon per hour on continued use.

MOST FORCED AIR KEROSENE HEATERS RUNNING FULL OUT WILL BURN ABOUT 9 HRS ON 5 GALLONS. LESS IF IT HAS A THERMOSTAT TO KICK ON AND OFF TO CONSERVE FUEL

Ready to use right out of the box, but do read the manual. Just love it, very fuel efficient and I use diesel fuel much cheaper than kerosene and easy to find. There is hardly any smell which is a plus. Heats up my work shop 24 x 36 when its 30 degrees outside in about 5 min. then the thermostat takes over. Great product, works perfect and you can't beat the price anywhere else for muti-fuel, Kerosene/Diesel/Heating oil.

Seems to work just fine, heats my pole building (1500 sq ft) up without any problems.

Heater was what was advertised and arrived quickly

Heats up my 2 car attached garage on a 20 degree day in about 5 minutes. I have had it 2 weeks now and really happy I got the one with the thermostat. It seems easy on fuel and only runs for a few minutes at a time to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Excellent Heater!

Bought this to use it my garage. Hasn't really been cold enough to use yet but like a kid i did run it for a bit. You will get some kerosen smell but not much. Love the idea that it has a thermostate on it which is important so it will shut off when you get the tempature that is comfortable which also makes it much efficent. This unit has come a long way from when they would run you out because they never shut off unless you unplug or run out of fuel. Now you can run it set the temperture and it shuts itself off but will come back on when the temerture drops. Was told it would take 2-1/2 weeks to get and it showed up four days after ordering it. On a full tank of 5gal. it should run 8-9 hours. It also has a fuel gauge. If power goes off i would not hesitate to use it to keep warm ( just remember to ventilate). Don't recommend but i want to stay warm Great buy. Everywhere else was between 200-275.00

Great heater!

I purchased this as a primary heat source (on demand) for my 32 x 32 garage. It works efficiently and expeditiously all while adding comfort while working. The built in thermostat helps avoid overheating the space or wasting 1K fuel or kerosene.

Excellent product

My garage has a wood stove in it for heat. I bought the forced air heater to get things warmed up faster. It warms things up faster and if you just need the heat for a short time it does it.

Great garage heater, and more

This was given to me as a Christmas gift to warm my garage for the occasional projects that go on out there - like smoking cigars, woodworking, tractor maintenance, etc. So it is used fairly infrequently, and only during Michigan's usually unforgiving winters. It performs admirably when it is working, and is very fuel efficient, comparatively speaking. The on-board thermostat is a definite plus as is the pass through 120v plug, which allows you to run a trouble light or power tool off the same outlet just by plugging it in to the cord on the heater. It is also more quiet and burns much cleaner than any of it's predecessors. My only issue is in the area of replacement parts. I need air and fuel filters for this unit and may need either a new pump or new fan motor (they are an integral unit). Just try and get in touch with these folks by phone sometimes, you'll understand immediately what I'm talking about.
