No 3-way switch, I went to Radio Shack and got one for my home made control box with a power switch and distribution panel in my small 14ft. Lund boat.

No switch included, as it is automatically tripped by float switch. There is a 3rd wire for manual operation which would require a separate switch.

No 3-way switch was incuded with the pump I purchased. A 3 way toggle switch should not be needed. The pump inlcudes an automatic switch, which should be wired to directly to the battery with a fused circuit. A switch is required for manual operation, so a 2 way, single pole switch should be all that is needed. It should cost $3 to $5. Check the manufacturer's website for more information.

It is wiring for a 3-way switch but does not come with one.

does the 3-way switch #7615A, comes with pump?

Depends if you place this dirrectly near the drain hole this pump will activate if you had a gal of water in your boat. When you take off your gal of water would rase the float up enough to tern it on to drain it, its automatic turn on will take care of it fine! I have the same one in my 21' Four Winns

A few inches. It's often mounted at a sump well or the lowest part of the boat bilge, to be more responsive. Check the manufacturer's website for more specifications.

What is the head of water in inches required to activate the pump?

Yes! it does, the automatic switch which turns the pump on and off will not work if the switch is not level.

It will work best on a level surface where water will collect. The float switch might bind if the angle is too far from level. A slight angle should not be a problem.

i mounted this in bilge area of my bass boat. is not perfectly level, but more or less level. would not worry about perfectly level.

Great replacement

Price was great and very easy to install.  After the rain it worked great.  Only had it a week, we'll see how it goes.

Works great....I wired it directly to the battery with the float switch.  In this config you don't use the  striped wire (that would go to a switch if you wanted to manually turn it on, but this thing has a manual/test button on the side to pump water out if it's not reaching the float switch.)  Also worth noting is the depth of water required on this one to activate is much less than some other models...I bought 2 others and this was the only one that worked for me due to the minimal depth of water required to switch it on!

Has only been in use for about a month but has worked as intended. Seems to be decent quality. At this point I am very satisfied with purchase.

I have had this pump before and it is very good. My old one about 7 years old.  Very happy with the product.

Worth the cost!

This pump works great, use on a 16 ft. runabout and it successfully pumped  water in a heavy rain storm. I like the idea that it is one unit, pump and float switch.

I purchased this as a backup to my failing siphon bilge system in my Waverunner and it works like a champ as you can see on jamesmaurer.com - Its flat bottom and design make it a perfect fit with the bottom of the hull and kicks on in big waves.

I also attached an on/off switch so it does chew up battery life in big waves that might cause float to trigger without water.

I've installed three of these pumps in a little over a year one had a locked up impeller the other to the float switch stoped working within a month total garbage do not buy.  a bilge pump is a safety device it needs to work don't trust your boat to this piece of trash.
