The flip mino has a FF and REWIND, is slimmer and uses a lithium battery as opposed to AA batteries. I was going to get the 260 and after some research, I decided to go with the 360. You also get to choose 2 extra accessories. Also the lithium battery recharges when you plug it into your computer. I recommend you exchange it. Hope I was helpful.

The Flip Mino is about 40% smaller than the Flip Ultra. Mino comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, while Ultra runs on AA batteries. Mino also has a sleeker design and features touch-sensitive buttons.

Both the Mino and the Ultra feature built-in software that allows you to capture still snapshots from your videos. These snapshots can be saved as .jpgs like a typical image file.

What is the difference the flip ultra and the flip mino?

You have to download the video to your computer to clear the camera and take more video.

Then you can buy the Flip Mino 120 minutes but it is about $20.00 more. If you have the 60 minute one, then if you run out of time, you will either have to put them on a computer or delete them.

What if I need to recoed more than 1 hour?

I don't think so, since you have to press 'record' on the camera and I haven't seen anything in software that allows the computer to control the camera.

The Flip Mino Camcorder cannot be used as a web cam. However, it does come equipped with built-in software that makes it incredibly easy to upload your videos to YouTube and other video-sharing sites.

great product. have only had it for a couple of weeks but i have used it several times and love the value for the price. the only disadvantage with it that i can think of is that you can only charge it thru the usb on your computer. it would be more convenient to have a wall charger incase it needs to be charged when a computer is not available. otherwise i love it.

great little gadget

I love this little guy. It has worked well beyond my expectations. If you want something small & fast with good video this is the one for you. Looks real good on my big screen TV & on computer. Price can not be beat for the quality!

Awsume Video Camcorder

Awesome little video camera! Slips right into the purse or pocket, able to catch those cute little moments with the kids and put them right onto the computer. Very easy to use software, able to edit videos or combine them into larger files and e-mail to distant family members!

Beside the fact that I managed to break the Flip the 2nd day, I love it. Customer service is fabulous and I returned the broken one for a new one. In addition to the broken part, I find that it is the only flaw in design, for if you have a PC tower it is possible to knock the Flip while it is connected and I did this twice. I broke the plastic casing around the USB. It still works and I'm keeping it. If you're prone to accidents I suggest a USB adaptor so taht the Flip can rest on top of the desk!
Video picture is awesome and it is so eady to use!! Nothing more perfect than the Flip!!

It's nothing compared to my Canon ZR400 in quality, but its features have a place. It's small, easy to transfer to computer, I don't have to worry about it getting lost or stolen as much, and rain isn't a huge issue when filming outside because I can just pop it in my pocket. Love to use it for short clips to keep in touch with my family. Would definitely recommend for everyday use. It's perfect for the cost.

Flip Mino

Until recently I had never uploaded a single video to YouTube. I was essentially a YouTube virgin but that all changed the day I bought my Flip Mino. In just two short weeks I have uploaded roughly a half a dozen videos to YouTube which isn't bad considering I have full time job and a house to manage.

Here are the main things I like about the Flip Mino:

* It is simple: This is my third video camera in three years; sadly I have never been able to figure out the other two.
* It is small: Let's face it size matters. If it is too big to fit in your purse you won't have it with you when you get inspired and want to capture something.
* It is cute: In my world cuteness counts. The Mino is adorable which only makes me want to use it more.
* It fun: It is so fun that I want to record everything and I mean “everything”. My husband is constantly reminding me what is and what isn't considered YouTube worthy.

Tip: make sure you buy the tripod; as it comes in handy when you are shooting yourself and provides a more stable looking video overall.

I Was a YouTube Virgin Until…

I bought this after having it recommended to me by two people because of its simplicity and ease-of-use. I must say this camera is great. It's small and easy to fire-up. This camera is a must-have for anyone with kids.
