No it doesn't.. The best you can do is if you use cold water in it the ice it makes will be very soft and it's easy to crush if you so desire.

No... but the ice has a great texture to it.. I think you'd like it..

This unit can make three sizes of ice cubes, however it does not make crushed ice.

It makes 3 sizes with the biggest about half the size of a normal ice cube tray ice cube. The ice cubes are hollow so they melt real quick.

I use this all the time. It's average size for me. I love the texture of the ice. It's a bit larger than Marble...I still own it and I love it.. We use ours for camping...

My ice maker in my refigerator stopped working, I believe due to our hard water. I didn't know how much it would be for repairs, and I figured, if it is hooked up to our hard water again, it will break again. So I decided to look for an icemaker that I can pour store bought water into. This works out perfect for us. You make ice as needed, and in our family, that's a lot. It has 3 different size ice cubes. It's perfect for people who buy bags of ice all the time. You can make your own and store it until you need it. I highly recommend this product!

Awesome Ice Maker

This was a great product and I am so glad i bought it. It has been a very hot and dry summer here in Houston, and the extra ice for weekend BBQ and parties is a life saver.
Only complaint I had was that it could make ice a little faster but then I am just wishfull thinking out loud.
None the less it is a great ice machine for the price and I would recommend it to all my friends.

I bought mine with a gift certificate and on sale. We used ours 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for our entire deployment in Afghanistan. It made all the difference in the world. I felt like I was back home with ice tea. I left it for the soldiers who replaced me, but I am buying a new one for my home. It takes about 10 minutes to make ice. Only problem is that the bin is not a freezer so ice melts a little over night. However, within minutes the bin is full again. You will love it!

This was the best $200 I have ever spent! It really does make ice in minutes. We are very pleased with its performance. It pumps out ice quickly and is very quiet. I would definately recommend it to anyone who needs an ice maker!

Very Cool!

My husband and I love the Danby Portable 33 lbs Ice Maker. It is easy to work. No mess and no clean up. We use it about 5 out of 7 days a week. I even put ice in my dogs water now. There was no assembly and had easy instructions to follow. My husband and I are Diabetics and we drink a lot of water. the ice machine makes it easy to keep lots of ice on hand. I love this product. It's worth every penny.

A life saver

This is a life saver for an option not to buy ice. It makes it quick and easy....the only problem - the item is a little large. It does not fit on a counter - so I have it on the dining room floor. But - it is worth it.

This product is good for a party of 4 or 40. Although it is bulky in appearance you can get used to it. It would be nice it you were able to order in colors. Overall it does what it is designed to do. If guest are invited or just drop in you can have 30 lbs of ice made in 15 minutes.

Good product to have at a party

This ice maker works very well for what it does. It makes very nice bullet ice and makes it fast. The problem I have is the fact that it does not keep the ice. If you are wanting ice for the home you must remove the ice and put it in your freezer in a few minutes of it being made because it starts to melt at once. Now if you are going to use it in an RV, on a boat or in a pool house, I do not see this as a problem. I bought it because the water system where I live is always dirty and I hate to have to stop every day or two and buy ice. Also the ice maker does not stop making when the tray is full so it can get jammed if you do not empty it fast enough. It only stops making when it runs low on water.
Overall I recommend the ice maker but make sure it will do what you want.

Nice but...

makes ice quickly; but is not refrigerated, you have to take ice out immediately after making. a complete cycle takes 1 hour to fill bin, bin is app. 4"tall x 5" wide length is 10". it takes app. 2/3 gal of water to make bin full. i wish i would have know it was not refrigerated before, i hope this helps people fixing to buy product. nice not to use ice trays

The icemaker makes ice as quickly as advertised, however the unit does not keep the ice frozen or keep it from melting. You have to transfer to freezer immediately. Cubes begin melting immediately stick together once put into freezer. Unit case is big and bulky and takes up a lot of space. Not what I expected. I expected a unit that would make ice and be able to store it until needed to be used. Only makes a gallon bucket of ice at a time before needing to be refilled. Good for a party where continued ice is needed, at a home bar. Takes up a great deal of space.
