I bought 2 of these lamps to put at my bedside. I completely love them! I opened them up and put large river rocks in them to go with my Asian/zen feel of my bedroom. Now, the rocks made the lamps exceptionally heavy, but that's better for me, as it prevents the cat from knocking them off the table. Great purchase!

Love my lamps!

I was encouraged by the reviews I had read of the lamp. The quality is really great and the price was even better. They look terrific on our nightstands. I can't wait to experiment with putting different objects inside of the glass.

Beautiful Lamp at a Great Price

I got this lamp because of another consumer's suggestion about putting shells in the base. I have a beach themed room, and the lamp is everything I wanted! Looks much higher quality than the price I paid for it. I have gotten lots of compliments on it and it fits my decor perfectly. Would definitely recommend this lamp to others!!

Love this lamp!!

I love my new clear glass lamp. The shape of the shade is very nice. The shade color is off-white. I was going to fill the lamp with shells but it's so beautiful just the way it is. Perfect for my carribean bedroom. I like everything about this lamp!

Beautiful Lamp

When I received the lamps, they exceeded my expectation. I expected them to look CHEAP....NO WAY at all. If you are trying to design on a budget, this is an item that you want to get. The only problem was that the HARP was missing on one of my lamps. I am trying to get in contact with the distributor to see if they can send me the piece,but otherwise, I am very satisfied!

A Great Product for the Price...

I wanted/needed a lamp in which I could put my seashells from various vacations. I have a seashore theme in my office/sewing room and needed local lighting instead of the overhead light. The lamp does what I expected it to do: has a three way switch, shade is fabric and I can put my shells within the base of the lamp.

This is absolutely the best lamp I have ever purchased for the price. I love it!!! I had shells to put in it also. The only problem I had with it was it wasn't really meant for this purpose and the base was a little hard to undo. However, we made it and I couldn't be happier. I purhcased two of them. They are just beautiful and the shades complement them too.

A wonderful little lamp

This isn't a cheesy "dorm room" lamp despite what the price may suggest. I ordered two for the living room of my beach house. I was able to unscrew the base of the lamp and put seashell's in it, although I don't think this was the manufacturer's intention. You have to take off the felt on the bottom of the base to unscrew the bolt from the rod to separate the chrome stand from the glass base. A little bit of a pain, but worth the effort. The lamps are fairly substantial in size which give it a more expensive look. Overall, I recommend this product.

Substantial

The lamp is a nice contemporary style. The shade arrived slightly crushed with visible dents in four places. The dents have not "popped" out, but I turn the shade so they don't show as much. I will eventually replace the shade. I like the lamp; however, if I had known the shade's dents were permanent, I wouldn't have accepted the lamp when I went to pick it up.

Nice Contemporary Lamp

This lamp is very elegant and I really like it, but I have to return it because the switch broke after turning it on about 5 times; the glass is cracked at the neck; the glass vase is hazy and not clear, making it appear dirty; and, to top things off, the shade was slightly dented. If you are thinking about purchasing this lamp because you want to add collectible shells, etc., to the inside vase (which was my intended purpose), forget it. There is no way to remove the base of the lamp. It's glued tightly. The WalMart ad did not claim that the bottom could be removed; rather, another reviewer claimed to have removed the bottom for the placement of seashells into the vase. Regardless of the defects, I am going to order another lamp and hope for the best, because I like the shade so much.

Pretty, but defective

This lamp was a nice style with an attractive lamp shade. There was a bubble in the glass and the shade was not put together properly. The fabric had slipped to the bottom of the shade. Therefore, I sent it back.
