I purchased this unit on June 12, 2010 and it has worked exactly how the features said that it should i have been on many trips and i haven't had any problems as of yet and as far as it shutting down they have a update for that free of charge that will take care of that problem so I am a very happy customer and would recommend this product to anyone interested in a top of the line GPS!!!

Awesome Product!!!!!!!!!!!

I drive a truck for a living and have no problems at all with daily use. You can add more than one distination. Lane assist is great volume,plenty loud. I have driven for over 25 years and counted myself old school didn't need gps but got this one in april of 2010 and don't want to crank my truck without. Has built in calculator thats real handy. Also provides a little entertainment at times. When following routes you need to use a little common sense if your in a truck. The 465 nuvi for trucks must be a real gem. I must have gotten lucky because mine has never cut itself off. I did download garmins fix for this problem when I got email from garmin to do so. The email said this fix would prevent problem from occuring but if problem was already occuring it would have to be returned to factory for repair.

I was able to purchase this product online, where as the store I normally shop for electonics did not have it on display for purchase. I totally like the larger screen. Ths price was very affordable also, and wow...no shipping charges. Thanks Walmart.

A very useful product.

I bought this GPS to replace a Garmen StreetPilot 2620. I like the larger screen and some of the new features not available on the previous GPS. We will use it for or RV travels and are very pleased with it. I also like the battery operation feature which allows me to remove it from the vehicle and use it on walks and it's small enough to carry in my pocket. Great product for the price!

Very good GPS for the price

This unit replaced an older Garmin. It was easy for us to operate since most of the features were similar to the old one. I bought the Garmin 1450 primarily because of the larger screen for easy reading at a glance, The 1450 has some nice features. The software is more refined. It auto zooms in or out based on your speed. The touch screen is very sensitive and fast. It tells you what speed you're going and what the posted limit is and the turning lane display is fantastic.

I purchased this GPS after extensive research online and reviews. And it is working fabulously.

I purchased for my husband who just got a job that keeps him out of town every week and he needed something to help him get around the towns that he had never been in before, and in three states!

He is loving it and it has the large screen so that he can see it easily. Definetely would recommend this particular Brand/Model to anyone interested in acquiring a GPS.

First GPS

I purchased the Garmin 1450T on June 20, 2010 from Wal-mart. I have used the GPS around the clock here in San Antonio to navigate. My trip to Houston, TX was on June 25, 2010. I drove 3 hours to my destination only to be 1 mile from finishing my trip when the Garmin 1450T just SHUTDOWN for no explained reason & was connected to the vehicle power cable. The GPS would not power back on immediately, about 60 seconds later, it powered back on. I used the Garmin 1450T to navigate back home to San Antonio with no problems at all. I called tech support to see what they had to say about the issue. It is clear they have ignored the SHUTDOWN issue as if the unit failed due to operator error. However, I did call back the next day and this tech suggested I returned the unit for a refund before Wal-marts return policy ran out on it. He admitted Garmin is working on a firmware update but could not say when or how the update would be available. I do not trust this unit and will keep my old Garmin 200 handy just in case this unit SHUTDOWNS again. The reason I am still holding on to it is because the Garmin 1450T is an amazing 5-inch device and I really do like it & what it has to offer. I just wish it were more of a stable product….

STOP!!! DON'T BUY THE 1450
Bought this unit in June 2010. Used it a few times, started a trip in September, unit suddenly went dead and will not turn back on. Read other reviews with similar complaint. Also noticed unit logic is horrible, display on zoom out is hard to see.
Please do yourself a favor and run away from this one!

Garmin 1450 is JUNK

I was sooo excited when we got this gps because the one that came installed in my truck needed a $250 updated cd so we thought this gps would be perfect. The only nice thing about it is that it has a 5.0' touch screen. Other than that i dont care for it. The lane assist didn't work and after 2 days it just wouldn't turn on again. We returned and got the Garmin 1390t and we LOVE IT! It has bluetooth, and the lane assist is awesome! That's the one I would reccomend.

I purchased this product on 9/09/10 and it completely shut down on 9/18/10 and would not power back on in the middle of a trip. Luckly it got me back to the main streets before it shut down. I should have read the reviews first. Do not purchased!
