I now own two of the aerogarden 7 planters. One is for holding the gourmet herbs. Within 4 days of setting it up, my cilantro is ALREADY an inch tall. My home, for the winter, is filled with huge pots of herbs to protect them from freezing. I can't wait to have these herbs in full grown splendor. My other aerogarden 7 has a seed starter kit. It's a styrofoam board with 66 holes bored through and grow sponges. It sits on top of the water which is pumped to the sponges with seeds. I have planted flowers, tomatoes, bell peppers, hot peppers and LOTS of lettuce. I covered it with a piece of saran wrap and within a week, sprouts were shooting up. I'll transplant them later by putting the sponges directly into soil. Then I'll order more sponges and start round two!. If I could find room for more of these aerogardens, I'll purchase them. The seeds I planted last year and used grow lights, after transplanting, only a couple of a hundred plants showed any promise. With this, I should have a 99% success rate.
