Great value
This is the second time I've order this jacket. I tried a different brand, but it didn't last as long and wasn't as warm. Has a metal zipper, not like the cheaper ones with plastic/vinyl zippers! This jacket will last we at least 2 years wearing it almost every day trough fall, winter and spring in Southern Illinois.

Cheap zippers don't last
Zipper is cheap garbage. The bottom zipper metal fell apart due to metal fatigue. My husband's is on it's way out too. Mine didn't even make it one winter. Paying to replace a zipper in these jackets costs nearly as much as buying it again. Oh the other hand, we've had our Dickies brand overalls for years without ANY metal fatigue on the zippers. Going to pay more for better quality and go with Dickies this time. Don't make the same expensive mistake I made.

Lighter jacket then before

Verified purchase

I bought this jacket 5 years ago and it was better made and heavier. It's still a good jacket but you should not have cut back on the insulation and cotton fill.

Very heavy duty coat, fits well

I just bought at Walmart today - very pleased with how heavy weight it is. I am 5"10", 185, and usually buy a large polo shirt. This jacket today was MR - medium regular, and it fit just great. The sleeve length was perfect, it fit around the waist just right. There was no large for me to try on - in fact it was the only Walls jacket left in the store. But if I'd gotten a large - I'm sure it would have been too big. I've never bought this brand, but after reviewing Carhartt - I was about to buy Carhartt online. I'd seen Walls while online, but there was not enough info for me to make decision about them. So I thought I'd check out Walmart, not expecting anything. Immediately found this jacket, and being the only one in the store, bought it on the spot for $56.98. I think I got a steal. I've not bought a heavy coat in decades - glad I found this one. Also the hood - I thought a hood hanging off the back would irritate me. Not doing. I don't even feel it back there. While wearing, it allows for plenty of room and to see on both sides. The pockets are not quilted, but they are big enough to stick in extra large gloves.

too short

fits perfectly, nice and warm. Heavy duty, the main and only problem "is too short" everytime that I lift my arms a little bit feel the cold on my low back and my belly. A new design would be great if they make it longer. overall everything else is good

ZIPPER

This is the 3rd one I've owned, the only downfall is the zipper always fails. Usually between 1 year to a 1 1/2. Otherwise a good coat, not a Carhartt but 2nd in my book.

A Decent Jacket

I have one of these walls jackets though mine is about 11 years old it is a good quality jacket and can compare to a Carhartt keeps me warm in the winter and barely any wear in the jacket other than one spot from my own human error. front pockets are a decent size
