As a single father on a tight budget, i was looking forward to finding all the kitchen tools for everyday use on the cheap. I saw this Farberware Professional Set and quickly realized that it had nearly everything we needed. Unpacked and inspected everything out of the box, and it all looked great esthetically and ergonomically felt good to hold. Everything was tossed into the dishwasher for initial cleaning, and eventually put away... First, I noticed that water tended to collect inside the handles decorative trim cap. The water looked rusty in color when I dried them with a paper towel, but the handle itself stayed secure with no noticeable play. Overall the items in the set seems to perform as expected; the peeler was duller than expected, the can opener has a tendency to pop out of track and could prove annoying if you plan on opening a lot of cans. The biggest fault/concern seems to be the 400 degree temp tolerance that the package claimed. I've used the spatula from this set, as well as another Farberware from the same style and they both started to melt at the contact points. I tend to fry on cast iron skillets for uniformity in heat, but frying eggs in low/med heat started to melt the edge of both spatulas. I'm concerned for myself and my children eating the pieces that may have stuck to the pans/food, so be aware! I think the material used are of suspect quality, but then again, what can you expect from a $20 set of utensils!
