Outstanding, excellent product
Excellent, sharp, crisp detail in the picture. Fast motion scenes are still vivid and clear. What can you say.... it's a Samsung!

Dont buy, edge lighting blows. Light spots on dark
Had to return this TV because its had large light spots the size of a softball around edges on very dark scenes it was noticable. samsung says this is normal for thier edge lit TVs so dont buy it. Drove me crazy because my 10 year old LCD samsung does not have these at all. We got the 7 series because walmart was out of 75" qleds to replace with. Then had a nightmare for 4 months with the 7 series Same issue and less clear picture. Samsung service came out 5 times and told us it was normal a few times, and a few times replaced the panel on my living room floor. Then whole right side blacked out when it got warm after. They finally processed refund but would not replace the tv for anything. Dont buy these cheap samsung TVs. Samsung is cutting corners making them so cheap, that's why theres so many models out. Get an LG Oled if you can afford it or at least a samsung Q80R. Q60 and Q70 have bad lighting glare to, Q80 and up fix that.

The T.v. That brings your to what your watching

Picture, Technology and ease of use are the things most people weigh out when purchasing any product. Well if your looking for all three and at a price you can justify the spending then you have the Samsung Q60R.

The picture is the first thing you look for when you walk around the store looking for a t.v. to catch your eye. This one doesn't just catch it, it cradles your eye and isn't to heavy. You can choose from an array of auto adjustment settings for harsh bright scenes or the dark murky videos where its pitch black. This T.V. is smart enough to identify what lighting you have in your room and adjust it to your picture. As for colors sharpness and blend. When brands say they invented a new color usually it sounds ridiculous. Samsung on the other hand didn't make a gimmick of inventing whats there. They mastered it, enhanced it and made sure its shown how it was recorded. The T.V. pulls in shadows and shading like you could only imagine in the perfect pictures. The up scaling and image correction from there revolutionized processors and internal equipment make any video game, sports game or movie look like your about to fall into the T.V.

After you made your purchase you think, great i need to set aside an entire afternoon to set this up. Set your timer for 5 minutes and instead set the rest of the afternoon to sit on your couch. The immediate help you are greeted with when signing into the T.V. for setup is revolutionary. Between the A.I. and interface if you get lost you must be turning on your old television because it is user friendly and flawless.

Outstanding Performance

The 2019 Samsung QLED Q60R 65” has been such a marvel to own. This is the perfect starting point for consumers who want a premium QLED TV without breaking the bank. The edge-lit QLED screen is truly a joy to watch. The Quantum HDR 4X brightness and vivid colors really is a sight to see. I haven’t seen any noticeable light bleed on the edges, and it performs really well in well-lit rooms. Ambient mode is another feature that is impressive. I tested the UHD content in YouTube, Netflix and Vudu and was thoroughly impressed at the level of crisp detail. Next I tested gaming on the Xbox One S. Having four HDMI 2.1 inputs really gave me multiple setup options. I turned on Game Mode and here is where I was blown away. I tried several games (Gears of War 4, Assassins Creed Origins, Tomb Raider). I would recommend turning Game Motion Plus off to reduce lag. I also was able to update the settings on the Xbox One S to a resolution of 120Hz @ 1440p. This paired with Freesync, made my gaming experience overwhelmingly enjoyable. Lastly, Integrating Smarthings brings a whole new element of fun. I get notified when my Samsung washer and dryer are done, and I can turn on/off lights around my house. My family was amazed a the technology built into the TV. I would definitely recommend the Samsung Q60R 65” for all movie, gaming, and sports enthusiast. The best Samsung TV yet!

First impressions of my new 2019 Samsung Q60R TV: Its a beast. Its humongous. It fills the room with a presence that can't be ignored. The picture is very sharp, clear and well-defined. The colors seem to jump out from the screen, almost like 3D resolution.

The sound at various levels is very clear and the highs and lows remain consistent, rich and full, with satellite, streaming services and Blu-ray content. YouTube and Netflix streaming made me feel as if I'm in a concert hall, and watching regular programming and movies were not unlike a movie theater experience. This is the Q60R 75 inch model.

I was going to add my old surround sound system, but it's not really necessary. Maybe I'll just add a sound bar at some point, but not right now. The Smart Remote is small, but fits just right in my hand. I'm used to older remotes with a lot of buttons and numbers, but I quickly learned how to use this new style with ease. Because it is a Smart Remote, it elimated the need for my DirecTV remote-all functions are controlled by the Samsung. Connection to my Samsung account and Smart Things app wasn't a problem, and I can control the QLED TV with my phone from any room in the house! Ambient Mode was fun to use, and I'll continue adding my own content to the existing choices.

The overall size of the TV is deceptive-it is the slimmest model I've ever seen. It looks like it's heavier than 86.9 pounds, but was easily picked up and moved with just 2 people. The legs are sturdy and the rubber feet prevent sliding on my console. My family and I absolutely love this Samsung QLED TV, and I'm very pleased with my choice to own one. Samsung continues to out do themselves at every turn. We can't wait to have more family and friends over for movie nights!

Picture quality and color rendering is outstanding

My current TV is not inferior by any means. But the Samsung Q60 QLED blows away my current one. The picture quality is outstanding, it is nowhere near to any TV I've seen till today. The TV has tons of smart features. The Netflix app is very fast and snappy, And youtube loads very fast, changing TV channels are instant. Oh, my favorite feature, when I turn ON the TV, I can pickup exactly where I left off, isn't that amazing. The app store has tons of apps. I've installed Vudu, Spotify and used them. The interface and feel is great. Last but not the least, is the black levels. I am a big fan of Dark Knight movies. And I regularly watch them. When I have to test the screen quality, I play this movie in 4K. The movie has lot of screens in the dark, and this TV is by far the most superior I have seen. The black is deep, and colors are vibrant, and screen is bright. Hands down, the best TV I've seen, and now I do own one, awesome!! This is a dumb smart TV. Cant load common apps.

This 2019 model will NOT let you load common APPS such as NBC, TVG, etc. These apps will not even come up when you search for them. I called their support line, (twice to get a second opinion) and was told I need to use a ROKU device. WHY should I need a device to load common free apps on my smart TV? I loaded the Sirius app. fine. Why not the others?

Dark scenes have foggy sections

Cloudy sections when there are dark scenes. Definitely more noticeable on the top right corner. This shouldn’t be possible with a new tv correct?

Terrible

I went to the local big box store and bought this TV, turned it on plugged it in and put on a fast-paced action movie… At the fast since the picture pixelates and shakes. The speakers maximum volume is extremely low, my samsung 49 inch series 8 speakers are better. I was told it works for channel changing, volume, and source with Google and Alexa… All they can do is turn it on and off, supposed updates supposedly are going to happen, but I do not trust that and have no idea how well they will work.Now let me talk about the remote control, Bigsby is the worst technology I've come across in my life, the remote works one out of 10 times when you try to talk to it, and the Bigsby is constantly telling me it doesn't understand what I'm saying, meanwhile saying the same thing to my 49 inch series 8 Samsung produces perfect results. I tried the Apple airplay feature, and it lags so bad I had to shut down my system, I provided a picture of that. I connected my cable box, and it keeps coming on connected, I've lost connectivity four times already and I've had to reconnect my cable box from scratch with Samsung's technicians over the phone . This television is an embarrassment, Samsung used to be the company I recommended, but because of Bigsby, I will never purchase another Samsung television again.The speakers maximum volume is extremely low, my 49 inch series 8 speakers are better, and I cant even enjoy music, because since you cant switch off bigsby, it speaks very loudly and ruins my you tube experience as it is constantly yelling that it "Does Not Understand" Bigsby also turns itself on at random!! As bad as it gets!!!

TV Was Nice...When It Worked

I ordered this TV in December of 2019. By march it was turning on by itself, by April it was turning off by itself, and by August it only cycled through turning off and on. Given no other options to fix, I am being offered a refund for my purchase. 9 months wasted with this TV and nothing to show for it.

Auto Dim frustrating

i purchased this 65in 4k tv just a few weeks ago. it has been most great. massive screen. beautiful clarity. easy set up. my complaint is the eco settings that control auto dimming. even with the feature/ setting turned off. it will still auto dim at the modt inconvenient times. forcing me to change the current picture setting for the brightness ro kick back in. while this feature might be for some one. i do not want it. can we get a firmware update? i want full brightness at a times. im not concerned with the power useage. i want the full experience.

NO COVER ART & METADATA OR FULL NAME IN THE GUIDE

I thought I got a SMART TV!

when I plugged m HD or Flash Drive with my movies on it the this TV did not show my metadata, including the ART WORK for the move. it didn't even show the full file name therefore, I did not know if I was to click on part 1 or part 2 of a DVD set, I guess I will have to hook up my pc to the Samsung smart TV like I had for my dumb TV. Now that's what I call dumb! Because of the restrictions of photos, I can't show what I am talking about, because I would have to show items that are not related to this product. I am sorry.

Awesome Product with a minor glitch

i purchased this tv six months back. so far my experience has been awesome. the picture quality is excellent. however the tv makes a cracking sound every once in a while like some kind of machanical rotation. not sure if anyone else has faced the same problem. some help would be appreciated.

Lines on tv screen in less than 5 months

i got a 82" class q60r qledmodel 8k tv on jan 29th,2020, and we had developed vertical lines on the screen. once you see it, you cannot un-see it :(. it's such an expensive tv too. we asked the samsung tech's who came home why it developed lines, and they said sometimes it happens. that was unsettling :(. it's only been 5 months :(

Price and Quality are the selling point

I used to own the curve 4K TV that was burned within 5 years. I hope this model holds it's live a little longer. Picture quality is great - color and image are crisp. eARC port works well. Sound is ok. Little to no heat emitted from the unit - so much different than the curve. Viewing angel is not much better than the curve TV so it is the downside. Overall for the price, it is a very affordable QLED with good Samsung quality. #sweepstakes

Awesome!!!!

my brother gifted me with this beautiful television for xmas. it was such an awesome tv. its easy to use and setup. the picture, oh the picture is spectacular. i absolutely love it. so happy to have such a loving brother. you will super proud to have such an amazing tv. you won't regret it.

The remote to this TV is infuriating.

This TV has a beautiful picture and decent available apps. The sticking point for me is the remote. Every month or so the remote randomly stops working with my cable box. I am able to set the remote back up, but it requires me to go through multiple steps that are very hard to find. This will probably be the last Samsung TV I purchase.

That picture

This tv has an awesome picture and some nice features, but the overall rating suffers a lot due to the substantially deficient remote control. Bixby fails nearly 80% of the time, the usual reply is "too busy with other tasks"..... And then you are left trying to change channels, source etc, via a remote with no numerals on it or a one button option to access settings or source. Please make a "dumb" remote control available, I'd certainly pay to have a remote that is easy to use!

Okay tv

I bought this tv okay and it's okay. It is definitely an upgrade from my last tv that was 7 years old. The picture is good but again I was used to an older tv. The remote for the tv is inconvenient. There are no numbers to change the channel. There is voice activation but it doesn't work well. There are random times when the tv is off and I am talking that the tv will turn on based on what I said (which isn't the prompt to turn on). It's ability to connect to my Dish TV cable box isn't great since there is no DVR button. Apps appear and disappear. If I had the choice again, I would choose a different tv [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
