works really well for such a little machine
I really like this vaccume. Works great on the floors, is very easy to manuever and the furniture attachment works really well on pet hair! It has a surprising amount of suction. It is very loud but who cares as long as it works! Very happy with this purchase!

First if you have a bad back this isn't good for you!I wanted a vacuum that had good attachments, HEPA filter and was easy to use. Unfortunately, lots of twisting and adjusting and found it was easier to sweep and just vac up the debris! The small brush isn't adequate for much of anything other than a bit of dusting (bigger brush available at extra cost) and it falls off repeatedly. BEWARE of the suction adjustment in extension rod, it easily slips open and when it did it left a mark on the palm of my hand...wicked suction where it shouldn't be, so be careful if you let a young person use this. The floor attachment makes noise like it's scratching the floor and has 2 options close and closer. It's just an awkward piece of equipment. I'm really disappointed for $102+ it was a waste of money, so much for trusting reviews! I'm getting rid of it and opting for a standup vacuum with good attachments that aren't cheap.

Light, easy to maneuver, plenty of suction power.

I have always loved Eureka vacuum cleaners. I have an old upright that I am still using after 35 years....... you just can't beat 'em. This is my second Mighty Mite. I just gave my old one a new home in our RV. So, when I needed to get a replacement for the house, the choice was easy. Some people like a "bagless" vacuum..... I find them to be Dirty. This vac has a nice compact bag, easy to change without having dust flying around. ( try dumping a bagless container without a dusty mess ) This vac is especially suited for Bare Floors, but will do a nice "quick pick up" on your carpet. It is also really nice for getting in and around those areas that your big Vac cant reach. I think you will love this Mighty Mite.

New and Improved Mighty Mite!

I bought my first Eureka Mighty Mite Canister vacuum about 12 years ago and recently replaced it with the 3684F model. I am so happy I decided to stick with Eureka MM because I really liked my original model, but now I love the improvements too! The extension rod (which ultimately cracked on my old one) is now made of metal, instead of plastic, so its much sturdier (yet surprisingly light). I also like the HEPA filter and the improved bi-level switch to go from floors to carpet. And, surprise, surprise, it is a quieter vacuum than the original, but still has great suction and ease of use. Finally, I love the pet hair removal attachment brush for upholstery and carpeted stairs--it really gets the dust and pet hair up!

great cleaner except on shag carpet

I live in a small apt and my eureka does every thing except not so good for shag carpet. Perfect for my bare floors base boards and crevice tool for couch and chairs. I also use it for my winter clothes I put in vacuum space bags for storage. The vacuum cleaner bags help keep dust down and easy to install and no need for extra filters . How ever it is very hard to use on shag carpets so I would not recommend it for that. I bought this cleaner for all the above mention and not for my carpet. Great vacuum cleaner over all. Light weight and very easy to use. I gave it five stars because it does everything I want it to do.

eureka pet lover mighty mite canister vacuum

here are my top scores for this cleaner. 1. my house has all hardwood floors and area rugs so this particular cleaner is EXCELLENT for my needs as promised. 2. cleaner is very versatile and light to carry and wheel around and I am a BIG fan of easy lifting and dragging when cleaning. 3. price is EXCELLENT for product promises. 4. the cord length and the extendable hose is easy to adjust and both fixtures are more than adequate for cleaning. 5. delivery was FREE shipping and extremely fast to the point of being ahead of the promised delivery date. 6. the pet lovers mighty mite has very good suction and makes quick work in removing cat hair on upholstery and fine wool rugs from 2 very active Siamese cats! 7. storage for this vacuum cleaner is minimal which is another plus. as for other remarks: the cord is not retractable so if that is an issue you may want to spend the extra for a retractable cord. the floor brush does not fit under low spaces like my gas stove or super low cupboards so if you need a slimmer brush model you might want to review other options for a pet cleaner. overall, I would certainly recommend this cleaner

Don't let looks fool you

When I first pulled the vacuum out of the box I thought it couldn't possibly be as good as marketed because it is so cheaply made. We are talking really cheap plastic. This may affect it's ability to maintain performance in the future but my initial opinion is not to let looks fool you. I plugged it in and started vacuuming. The suction was as good as a Dyson I had borrowed and weighed considerably less. I have a navy carpet in the dining room and a white terrier that should be bald at the rate of her shedding. This little vacuum handled the hair beautifully on the carpet and my hardwood floors. The little "mighty claw" is awesome and cleaned up by sofa and upholstered chairs quickly with little effort. It is light and easily follows you around. I did not have any problems with kinking as other reviewers shared. The telescopic handle is easy to use and very helpful. The extra tools are pretty small, but usable. My only concern is how long it will last because of how it is constructed but I guess time will tell on that one.

Better for hard floors

I bought this to clean our RV and because I wanted a bagged model with a 12 amp motor that would fit in a small space. The motor is as powerful as my old upright but seems louder. I do like being able to stand it upright and use the hose attachment. If you have mostly hard floors and a lot of pet hair and dust that needs picked up from a hard surface this should work pretty well. If you have wall to wall carpet even in a small apartment I would recommend you buy an upright instead. For a small space with minimal carpet this may work for you. It reminds me of a extra large dust buster or a very small shop vac in its usefulness. Pros power of the motor compact size and light weight bag is easy to replace adaptable to different areas of the house pet brush attachment seems to work fairly well although it is also not "powered" crevice tool does fit on board has a cord wrap on board Cons loudness cannot attach the included HEPA filter and still use it in the upright position, it tilts hose feels pretty cheap floor attachment is not powered so it is not very effective for carpet floor attachment tends to fall off easily pet tool does not fit on board hose, extension and floor attachment are loose and take up a lot of closet space

Overpriced

I expected a better made vacuum for $80 when I placed the order. Although, it's light weight & has a good suction but I don't think this vacuum will last long. The hose is paper thin so it will be the first to break after the kinks kick in over time. The connecting tube came lose too easily when I vacuumed, hence I had to grab it at a lower position to ensure it stayed put. Also, I had to constantly adjust the "air flow" for suction power because the two connecting tubes just twirled around too easily. Overall, it's cheaply made and I am not impressed with it simply because it cost $80, not $30. I have an Eureka Maxima upright that cost me less than $50 and is much better made than this canister. One postive thing though it made my job easier to vacuum the blinds and valence because it's light. As for pet hair, it did the job on the hard surface floors and maybe on certain heavier area rugs if you only needed a light brush on the surface. I wish I didn't buy it but it's water under the bridge now - no desire to deal with the manufacturer.

Motor blew the first time I used it!

I purchased this online to save a trip to the store - it had been recommended by a cleaning service I use. The vacuum was delivered ahead of schedule, but the first time I turned it on, it tripped a circuit breaker and died. I couldn't get it powered back up, so I had to drive it to a Eureka dealer that does warranty repairs. Trouble is, the closest dealer was a 20 mile round trip from my home, and it will take them three weeks to repair or replace the motor. So much for the convenience of an online purchase.

Kind of a piece of junk, but can have good suction

It works, but is cheaply made and put together. The suction is good, but the floor tools aren't the greatest. The brush floor attachment for pet hair doesn't really work at all...I could get more hair off with a regular pet brush. The spinning brush floor attachment works great for the first 10 minutes, until after it stops spinning from tangled hair and then you have to constantly take the piece apart to get the tangled hair out, just so you can use it maybe another 2 or 3 minutes before it gets tangled up again. If it didn't always get tangled up and you didn't always have to unscrew it and take it apart it would be great, but I would call this piece a "fail". The hose always gets twisted and then loses suction...if you constantly are making sure the hose is straight, then you get great suction, but it takes a lot of hassle for this to happen...also, with me having two cats...while the hose drags on the floor, while using the vacuum, it seems like all of the pet hair is magnetized to it and then after I'm done vacuuming I have to maneuver a way to vacuum the pet hair off of the hose...if you want something that is cheap and you can manage to work, then I guess go for it, but is is a pain to have and very annoying. Spending more for something better, is what I would recommend.

Mighty Vacuum

The item arrived later than promised, but weather may have cause that. We selected the MM because it uses the old technology of drawing a forceful current of air into the machine. Our house is primarily hardwood floors and the brush end does the job we want.

Great Vacuum

I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a portable canister vac, it is very lightweight, has wheels for easy take along, and mostly is a POWERFUl little vacuum cleaner that is very versatile!! We are very pleased with it's performance, and everything it offers. Priced very reasonably also for the value!

COMPACT WITH GREAT SUCTION

Only used this once so far since received. It's light-weight, but the suction was so great that when I first turned it on, the floor tool stuck to the wood floor & wouldn't move. Ended up opening up the little vent on the handle & I was able to move the floor tool. The vacuum already has a bag in it & it came with an extra bag as well. I'm interested to see how much they will hold compared to a regular sized canister vac. The electric cord is a good length & I didn't have to change wall plugs any more than normal. We have all hard wood or laminate floors & many (many) cats-litter & fur everywhere. The vacuum did a good job picking up both. I was impressed Eureka put both a dusting & furniture tool on one attachment. I hope it does just as well in the future as it did the initial time used.

Does the job with caution

The hoses are very flimsy and bend up easily. It seems to do a good job if I keep a constant eye on the hose that it is never looped, bent, or twisted. On the other hand a flimsy hose keeps the weight down. I am happy to reach the things i need to reach with out all of the vacuum weight or ladder needs. Only used it a few times so far. But happy with it as long as I'm careful.

Great little sweeper!

Bought this vacuum to replace a junky stick vac & have been extremely pleased at the Mighty Mite's performance. Has great suction & works great on all my hard surfaces--tile, wood & vinyl. Have not tried it on carpeted areas, but I highly recommend for any hard flooring, as well as baseboards, wall corners & around windows.

Mighty Mite

I love this vacuum. Have one, bought another. light and easy to use with powerful suction. The only draw back is the air flow slider opens up as you vacuum but I just taped it shut. Its by the handle. Great price and much better than the Kenmore canister vacuum I paid over $400 for. Love it on the stairs since it is light and easy to carry up. $70. Plan on purchasing another for another floor level for the kids to use.

works really well for such a little machine

I really like this vaccume. Works great on the floors, is very easy to manuever and the furniture attachment works really well on pet hair! It has a surprising amount of suction. It is very loud but who cares as long as it works! Very happy with this purchase!

Super suction! But...

If you want to use this on carpet..forget it. The pole is so cheaply made it bends when you try to push it accross the carpet...which makes it nearly impossible to vacuum any carpeted area. I don't have thick carpet either! The suction is great but like I said, it's almost impossible to push this back and forth over the carpeting. I will only use it on my bare floor areas and to vacuum my csr! I now must go buy another one that is able to do carpet! Back to an upright I guess.

Great, especially for the price

I have new laminate floors, with area rugs. A bit of a pain dust mopping, vacuuming and then wet mopping. So I looked online and read up. This one had the very best reviews for size, cost and strength. My only two complaints are the cord length...more is better and though 20' sounds great...not really when it comes to using it; the other complaint would be...strange...the wand is slightly long, as is the hose. This is great for reaching, but kind of gangly for regular vacuuming. At any rate...I am keeping this little gem. It has GREAT power. So much so that the adjustable head, when engaged for bare floors REALLY sucks down...it can be hard to move. However, GET it...you won't be disappointed.

perfect for my needs

a salesman at a major department storer recommended this product even though he did not sell it at his store . it is perfect for my needs. I use it mostly on tiled floors and it does the job very well. works well on short pile rugs as well. of course with any product there is a quirk or two. nothing that I cannot work around. it was certainly worth the purchase and was exactly what I needed to get the sand off my tiled floors that my dogs drag in. go out and get yourself one. why aren't more of these sold in the stores?
