Great Tv
I got this to try for free. I absolutely love it. The colors are perfect watching Tv shows and movies. We also play video games on it. The graphics are phenomenal. And the colors are perfect. We have this tv set up in our bedroom. It's the quietest in the house to watch Tv and play video games. We have a subscription to Netflix also so on days off we binge watch alot of shows. Thank you for letting me get this tv. We got the 43 inch to test out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Audio issues within a year
We really wanted to like this TV because of it's great price and features. However, in less than a year of normal use, the volume would go down to zero on it's own. Troubleshooted to see if it was the remote (took out battery) and did a reset of the TV, but it still would encounter the same issue. Customer service was actually pretty helpful and sent a replacement but unfortunately, they only send "refurbished" TVs which was an automatic red flag but we didn't have a choice. Unsurprisingly, the replacement (model number: R43PFL5603/F7) was in poor condition. The back light around the edges of the TV on a black screen was warped/wavy and pretty distracting. Also, the default color settings were off and no amount of tinkering in the visual settings would fix it. (Wasn't a problem on our original TV). Lastly, the TV would have problems turning on. Absolutely, ridiculous. Worked with customer service again and they're sending ANOTHER "refurbished" TV and it's currently on it's way. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and hoping for a working TV this time, but considering 100% of Philips TVs we've ever had we're substandard, it's not looking good.

Great Tv

Great Tv

FUTURE TV. LOVE IT

I am so in love with this tv. this are great have alot of feautures. smartest tv. Pictures are so clear, super HD. I connected My Netflix, Vudu account and can watch here automatically from My TV. What I like about this most of all is I can connect my phone through the TV and watch youtube wirelessly by Bluetooth and most incredible is even when I close the youtube app on my phone, the video is still play on the tv and I can do something else. I am so happy with this TV. So very light and so thin I can transfer it to other stand without any worry. very easy setting and remote button have Netflix and vudu cloices. Happy with my purchase

I am happy with my purchase. Good TV for the price. Not a fan of the table feet. They seem a little small. But tomorrow I hook it from the ceiling using chains. I highly recommend mounting on wall or hanging the TV from the ceiling with chain. I had one fall over last week off a table of course it broke. So I will never place on table.

This model has a great picture. Very detailed with good color. But the sound is horrible. It's like the old transister radio sound. But hooked to other speakers through a reciever, it's fine. I've had mine for about a year and a half, with no issues. It was a gift from my son, who purchased it at Walmart .

It's totally outstanding detail

I've never seen such definition of all colors before, this 4K Ultra HD is more than I've ever experienced in a HD TV. And the sound quality is awesome. Just a small problem with understanding how this Philips 5000 series really works, but that's minor because as I always say "It's a work in progress System."

Good picture, but problems with sound/audio

This product has very good picture quality, however the sound is distorted at times. Voices sound as if they are coming from inside of a tin can, and there is occasional "feed-back". I've tried changing the various sound settings, but nothing seems to help. The functions of the various settings are not well described or explained in the manuals which makes it more difficult to resolve this problem. I will try to contact customer service for help in the next day or two. I am concerned that there may be a "bad" speaker.

Volume stuck on 100

After a year and a half of having our 43 inch tv. The volume goes up to 100. Couldn’t use the remote to turn it down. Had to turn doen in the back. Then it started going down to zero. I unpluged it for about an hour the bolume was still uo to 100 and i couldn’t do anything with the remote. Took batteries out and put back in and still nothing. We tried everything and the vilume is stuck on 100.

Very Limited

Picture and Sound were good. Big complaints: 1) Not very user friendly. Menu and setup confusing. 2) Very limited access to apps. I would still have to use a Roku or another streaming device to meet my needs. (what's the point of having a smart tv. Major Issue) 3) Couldn't cast from my devices to tv.

Great Budget Smart TV

The setup for this tv was pretty simple which is great - I was actually able to set it up without my husband's help and I'm not very tech savvy. The picture is bright and crisp, took a bit of tweaking with the settings to get it just right. Lots of preloaded apps that we use regularly such as Netflix, Hulu etc. Pretty basic smart capabilities but that's all we needed. The sound isn't the best on it's own but we used a sound bar which made it much better. All in all I think this is a great budget smart tv for those not looking for anything too fancy. Not good.

There is a lot to improve with tv. If I were you, I wouldn't buy and look for something else. It is incredibly slow and it doesn't have Hulu. There aren't many apps you can install. I give it 2 stars because the picture is great, but other than that, it's worthless. I wish I bought something else.

Great picture!

I already had a 4K tv to compare this too when we received it. Set up and programming is sooooo easy. Picture is great. Sound isn't anything special in my opinion but not bad either. There are tons of preloaded apps to choose from on there. We don't use a tv provider so this is a must have for us. But this is where I didn't just live this tv. You are limited to what it has. So for those of us that pay for amazon prime that's one we just cannot use. It does have Netflix, vudu, YouTube, kids you tube and a variety of very specific apps. I didn't see google play, fandango, etc. I have 3 brands of smart TVs and found this to be the most basic as far as the smart capability. Hopefully this is something they resurrect in the future with a software update etc. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great resolution!

I now use this as my new monitor, to watch tv and to play games. The best results are playing on my PS4 as it takes advantage of the 4k technology. I've played through all of Assassin's Creed Odyssey on this and everything was pretty crisp. The size of the tv makes me feel completely immersed in what I am playing. Battlefront II also looks so much better than it did on my little 22" monitor. Gaming and regular online activities are my most frequent use of this tv. Great picture, major color issues

The TV has a really sharp picture and is packed with smart features including 3 HDMI ports, usb, Netflix, Vudu, YouTube, and pandora. I really love the options. The two major problems I ran into involved the color and the sound.

Despite having a number of preset color themes and the ability to completely configure things like hue, tint, and saturation, I was never able to get the colors on the Front V to look the way they should. Most notable is the green or gold color present for yellow.

The sound is typically pretty good and provide the right amount of volume and clarity, except when there is anything else going on in the room. For some reason, ambient noise seems to drown out dialogue on the tv, making it very difficult to understand.

On another positive not, the TV has a wonderful profile without looking bulky. It looks great on either a tv stand or wall mounted. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great picture

This a great smart television. The picture is very sharp and clear. The color is brilliant. The sound very good, it doesn't sound muffled and I dont need any additional sound bar or speaker to get the theater sound. I love having Netflix, at my fingertips, as well as all the other apps included. The remote has one touch buttons to get you to your cable, or Netflix, YouTube or Vudu ect. Vivid color

Very lightweight, easy setup. Beautiful picture and several picture settings to choose from it also has settings for picture format, has a voice guide as well. However connecting to the internet was a bit of a process, screencasting only works with certain devices, you can not download apps, it does come with a bunch of apps. The onboard VEWD browser is o.k. but It would not play videos for us only tried a few times, as the browser is kinda laggy. The sound isn't very good, you have to turn it up pretty high and back down for commercials, maybe it is better with a soundbar [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good picture but the speakers are TERRIBLE. My clock radio sounds better than this TV. Also, the D-Pad on the remote is mushy and imprecise. I've had it for about two hours and I've already decided to return it.

TERRIBLE

This tv is crap. The apps on it suck other than youtube and netflix. I bought it for Hulu which is advertised on the box, but it doesnt have it and you cant download anything. Get a better tv for the price

DOES NOT HAVE HULU

Bought this TV for the apps.. how are you going to advertise HULU but it not be an app on the actual TV.. its clearly ON THE BOX!! Boxing the TV back up and taking it back.. ridiculous!!
