I would give Brita a 4.5 out of 5 stars because based on the project we did in chemistry we noticed that Brita can clean out many things that other filters can`t, for example chlorine and water hardness. Based on what my group did Brita does still have some problems cleaning out chlorine and water hardness. The filter almost always cleans out whatever is in the water you have and the best part is that Brita is always upgrading their filters. Based on information from the EPA(Environmental Protection Agency) the MCL(Maximum Contaminant Level) was not violated and is good for anyone to use a Brita filter. From our experiment we tested for iron, lead, copper, chlorine, water hardness, nitrates, and pH from the those tests we learned that basically all those elements before and after had stayed the same except for chlorine which went from a 1 ppm to 0.5 ppm, while everything else had a measurement of 0 ppm.
