This bike was on sell at a wal-mart in hickory n.c.
so i bought, took it and tricked it out.it's now my second mean it transportation.even though the specs a180 lbs limit. this bike has no problem maintaining 15 mph or more.i'm now saving to buy
a bigger one and give this one to my nephew.
I got the blue version for under $185 shipped to the store. The frame is strong. Brakes were already adjusted. Minimal assembly and with that they give you tools except for a 10mm socket to attach the front fender and a phillips head screw driver. The rest the supply in the box. I have not tested the longevity of the ride time. I thought it would be a bit quicker, it feels more like 8 MPH and would not pull me (a full size man) through the grass, but I think it would pull a kid 60 to 90 lbs (that's who's going to get it). Overall, not bad.
I PURCHASED THIS ITEM A MONTH AGO FOR MY TOM-BOY DAUGHTER FOR HER 9TH BIRTHDAY.
SHE LOVES IT. I AM VERY GLAD I PURCHASED IT FOR HER.
THERE IS A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD NO,
THIS BIKE IS HEAVY. KIDS COULD GET INJURED IF THE BIKE FALLS ON THEM. IT IS 3 TIMES THE WEIGHT OF A BIKE THIS SIZE.
ALSO THIS IS A MID SIZE BIKE , NOT A 20'' MORE LIKE A 16''.
ALSO THERE IS NO PEDAL BRAKE THAT KIDS ARE USE TOO. THERE IS A FRONT AND REAR HAND BRAKE , THE PEDAL SPINS BACKWARD.
HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE
This is not appropriate for 13 year old kids due to the small size. My 7 year old looks way too big to ride it. However, the bike is REALLY fun and all of my kids enjoy riding it (even though they look rediculously large on it). The dimensions and weight need to be provided when buying on-line.
