LOVE IT. COMBINES MULTIPLE AWESOME FEATURES
I absolutely love this. I have been considering a noise machine for a while. This takes it a step further. It allows you to set a bedtime wind down sequence (I use waves and sunset). Then when the time elapses it switches to a white noise sleep function. It helps drowned out outside noises. In the morning (gym workout starts well before actual Sunrise) the clock turns light on that slowly gets lighter. After a set time, the alarm sounds. I like the nature sounds to wake up to. One mornings where I time my sleep schedule right, the light along starts me waking. If I'm bushed, I can sleep through the alarm for a bit without being majorly disturbed. I love the gentle wake up. It's adjustable so if you have a hard wake up time, you can make it so your sure to wake. There is a second alarm too if you are the type that needs a backup alarm. This Zenergy has made going to bed, and waking up before dawn so much easier and consistent. So glad I paid for this over some of the bargain imitators. This is my third iHome device. Very solid consumer electronics company!!
So many great features to choose from.
I'm very happy with this IHome product. Used to have trouble getting to sleep, but now I just pick the sound and light therapy I want and it puts me in a different space, where I can relax and meditate to sleep. Good price for what it gives in return. Peace and relaxation.
Cool Features and Good Quality.
This iHome product completely surpassed my expectations! It's a great size so it does not take up a lot of space on your nightstand. The light and sound therapy do help with relaxing and unwinding after a long day. It also makes a huge difference waking up in the morning to sounds that are less harsh than a buzzer or beeping with typical alarms. Altough, the alarms do offer a buzzer if you prefer. There are plenty of combinations to use for light and sound therapy; storm, rain, river, drive, peace, aurora, glow, calm, and several others. You have the option to control the volume of the sound therapy and the brightness level of the light therapy to your comfort. The Bluetooth connection works great for music. Aurora light & storm sound is my current favorite combination to fall asleep to. The 4-7-8 breathing exercise is great if you're looking for a quick meditation session. Overall, it functions well as an alarm clock and the additional features make it well worth the buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This little machine is AMAZING! I work nights so i have to sleep during the day. Having a house full of teenagers, a 9yr old, 2 dogs and a cat doesnt make it easy BUT with this machine it helps to drown out the noise while i sleep, all i hear are waves! I love it! I thought it would he some cheapo hallow machine but noooo its pretty heavy but very compact. I highly recommend this!!! Buy it, you wont regret it!!
I'm so happy with this ihome. It helped me fall asleep at night and it's many alarm settings and options help me feel refreshed and ready for the day I love the product and suggest you get it too
Helps with sleep
So I've been using this for a week now and I have to say it actually does seem to help with sleep.
You can program this device (I did it manually on the clock but there is also an app) to use (or not use) lights and sounds (can deactivate separately) and simulate a sunset eventually fading to darkness.
The alarm can be programmed to do the opposite and wake to bright light (I think this feature would help more in the winter-time or when someone has room darkening shades--my room gets light enough with the early sunrises this time of year that I didn't notice a difference, but did wake up to the alarm sound). It does have dual alarms (with the 5-2-7 features that have become standard). The sound therapy has different sounds to choose among and even has a meditation mode that helps calm your breathing. It's got bluetooth so you can connect it to your mobile and use it as a speaker.
It's small enough to pack in a suitcase and carry with you for a trip. It hardly takes up room on your nightstand and the brightness can be dimmed in stages so it won't light up your room at night--unless you want to with the light therapy button. I would recommend this as something you took to a relatives or hotel for a weekly stay. The one feature I found missing was a radio (but there are apps and bluetooth that could overcome this lacking feature. Also, there is another model ihome makes that has this feature in a similar design.
I'd say buy it at the price: it's a pretty good value. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Love this clock
Love this clock! The sound quality is much better than I expected, very nice rich sounds. The sunrise setting is very gradual, can be either red tones or blue tones. Then there are tons of other light therapy settings. It was easy to follow the set up directions. Everything is very customizable, except I think the sunrise duration can only be 10 min. But that's perfect for me. There is a battery that will save your settings in a power outage. If the power goes out, it will not show the time, but the alarm still goes off if you had one set (just generic beeps). It has basically everything it wanted. The "ocean" and "drive" sounds are good if you just want white noise. I plan to put a raised sticker on the alarm button to help find it for turning off the alarm, but you can really just got the snooze bar and then turn off the alarm if you can't find the alarm button when you first wake up. I just got the clock today so we'll see how it holds up.
1 Year and Two Weeks, it Stops Working As Expected
We have two of these for my kids as sleep aids/alarm clocks and just after the warranty expires they stop working as alarm clocks. These are too expensive to get to a year and lose core functionality. The five versus seven day week never worked on either unit, so don't put your bets on that to let you sleep in on the weekend. And yes, I happened to stumble across the random response from support on someone's review to reset their unit by unplugging and removing battery etc. Very disappointed.
I can't figure out how to turn the alarm off when it's not sounding and so that it doesn't repeat on another day. And how do you turn the Bluetooth off? And how do you get a rep on the phone?
Love the device, Hate the app
While I bought the device a few years ago, I have never really had much luck with the app on my iPad - it just won't open, even though it's paired numerous times
Everything I was looking for, BUT...
This product was exactly what I was looking for! It replaced the fan, clock, nightlight, and sound machine in my daughters room.... BUT after only one month it lights up only on one side. For the price, I expected to get years of use. We never leave the lights on for more than a few hours at a time.
Very disappointed. The alarm doesn't consistently go off and it doesn't seem to recognize am from pm.
WiFi doesn't work
Can't control the ihome with my device. Very frustrating. Not a bad clock otherwise but this feature should work.
Like it but missing features
I like the sound, relaxing colors. BUT, not having any ports/connections to charge devices is a deal breaker. In today's world not having ability to charge devices is just wasting valuable outlet space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Compact, multi-featured alarm clock
I setup both the wake-up alarm and "ZZZ" feature that lulls you to calm before going to sleep. The wake-up alarm sounds are varied - everything from bird calls and wind chimes, to ambient and electronic music loops. I chose the "nature" sound, which is birds chirping with wind chimes in the background, plus the sunrise glow light feature. I really like waking up this way! The sunrise light comes on about 10 minutes before the alarm sound starts, so if you're in a very dark room, the light may be enough to wake you up. When the alarm sound starts, it's very quiet, and works its way up to the full volume you've chosen. It snoozes for 10 minutes at a time, but the sunrise light stays on through snooze cycles.
I started using the "ZZZ" feature the first night I got it, and really like turning it on while I'm reading in bed. The sounds to choose from are the same as the wake-up alarms, and you can choose a light display also. I have mine set to the "highway" sound, which is supposed to mimic a car driving on an endless highway. For me it was the sound that was most like white noise, that helps to shut out other noises and lull me to sleep. I chose the aurora lights to go with it, and the display cycles through reds, purples, and blues. My ZZZ period is set to 30 minutes, and turns itself off at the end of the cycle.
Overall I'm very pleased with this device! There's a variety of alarm settings, ZZZ settings, and overnight sounds (which I don't use) to choose from. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great features, over all nice alarm clock
When I updated my phone, i couldn't use it as a Bluetooth speaker, but the latest update fixed that issue. Over all it's nice as a alarm clock and the light helps with sleeping. I would recommend the product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Works as promised. Neat idea!
Waking up has always been a difficult proposition so I thought I would try this out. First it is important to note that this is not an item to treat SAD. It can certainly help with it but it is not an "official" sleep aid. There's an app for the unit but you don't need it. The light comes on in a soothing way in the morning.
My biggest caveat about this is that there are so many buttons...if there's an option, there's certainly a button for it. But good luck trying to find the right button in the dark. I suggest sticking with the app. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
