Just like her Twilight series, Meyer has created an amazing love story. I would recommend this book to friends and family. It is hard to get into the book when you first start reading it, but if you give it a chance you will find that it will be very difficult to put down. I stayed up until 3 a.m. some nights because I was enjoying it so much. Easy read, and very good story.
Awesome read, a little hard to get into in the beginning of the book but then it wraps you up and doesn't let go. Unable to put it down...another amazing book by Stehanie Meyers....I hope there is a Host 2!!! :)
I had already read The Host, by Stephenie Meyer, when it came out in hardback. However, the author has issued this paperback edition with some editorial improvements. I especially like the new Epilogue. Stephenie's writing always draws the reader into the world of the characters and makes you feel the events as if there. Although the book is considered Science Fiction it is also an excellent adult drama so don't be aftaid of the genre. Great Read!
I already reviewed this book once about a year ago. I bought it in hard back cover and at the time I was only about 1/3 of the way through it. At the time I gave it a 4-star rating (mostly because the beginning is a lil confusing) and I would like to retract and reiterate. I would give this book 10 stars if I could. I'm a huge Twilight fan, not because it blew up and became popular. I read the Twilight book back when it first came out and was hooked, but this is NOTHING like the Twilight saga. This (to me anyway) is even BETTER! Keep in mind I'm 28 and am growing out of the high school realted books. Now this book would make a good movie with the right budget and director. I truly look forward to reading more books from this wonderfully talented writer. This book does not dissapoint.
I bought the book for my daughter. Book looks great but I accidently bought the easy reader version with huge letters so the book weighs about 7 lbs. Make sure you pick the right one!
It's not as good as twilight, but it compares. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. It's science fiction, and about 700 pages. It demonstrates that we shouldn't take our human life for granted. Give it a chance and read it!
