This version of the movie is much more satisfying then the original releases. It is thirty minutes longer and has some nice scenes that Oliver Stone was forced to cut in other releases.
This movie is better on the Blu-Ray Disc. The picture is smoother in High Definition. The Final Cut has many Special Features to choose from. This is a must see! Very good cast. (The movie is on 2 discs. With the Special Features on disc 2)
1. The good news is that most of the film's blu-ray picture quality was very good, with only a few exceptions.
2. The director shot several miles of film and then did not have a clue of what to do with it. This is a commond problem with some directors. As a result, the movie jumps all over the place. The end result of the director's attempt to salvage this desaster is three and one half hours of mombojumbo.
3. Lastly, the individual that played (briefly-thank god) Alaxender's wife exibited an angry mean spirited modern day attitude which would have never been tolerated in 325BC.
