I like my TV
Unboxing and installing the TV was a breeze though I did have to make some adjustments to the settings to get the best picture that I would enjoy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Good TV but no Dolby Atmos support
I purchased this TV along with the matching Hw-q70r soundbar to use Dolby Atmos. This TV only has Hdmi ARC and not eARC which is needed to transmit Dolby Atmos to the soundbar. The soundbar has been updated to eARC but the TV has not. Samsung needs to release a firmware update for Hdmi 2.1/eARC.
Great picture, horrible software!!!
The picture is unbelievable, truly amazing. Every TV show, movie of show looks like you are watching it live. However, the onboard software is garbage. Samsung has been avoiding fixing it for years. Check the reviews all over the internet, I didn't before I purchased mine. The system will lock up or not run Hulu or Prime Video several times a day, and updates do nothing.
Met my high expectations
I researched the purchase heavily and have been extremely satisfied with the product. Awesome picture quality, fast refresh rate, TV sound is above average (although I also purchased the Q70 sound bar & woofer). A lot of value for the price. My only complaint-quirk is there are sometimes after I turn the TV off, it will inexplicably come back on a few minutes later. A little unsettling, but it has happened about 10 times in the 7 months I've owned the set. The wireless internet reception can have some lag at times. i love the remote control. Sleek, simple and fairly easy to navigate once you get the hang of it. I love the features to conceal the power cord and cables in the legs of the base as mine sits on a cabinet. My wife often mentions how many times I've told her "I love our new TV"!
i bought the 49" q70 in 2019 because it was the first under 55" led on the market with full array local dimming (fald). it has great picture and no issues but the 49" model refresh rate is only 60hz; every other q70 model is 120hz. it doesn't include freesync. the new 2020 49" qled has these same omissions. freesync and 120hz are pluses for gaming and the new generation consoles and pc's support these. also this year lg does have a sub 55" oled and not only does it have 120hz refresh it supports both freesync and g sync. Great TV, but missing one major feature.
TV was a nice upgrade from a 2015 model Vizio. Darker blacks, HDR and much faster interface. The TV powers on and off instantly as well. Which is nice as my older TV took 10 seconds or more to turn on. My favorite feature besides what I mentioned previously would be that it can be used as a monitor to a PC with 1440 resolution with 120hz. It can also do 4k with the PC, but I prefer 1440. Cons would be no G-Sync for PC gaming. And the biggest con in my opinion is that it does not have eArc HDMI. This is very sad as they could do a firmware update to fix that but they said they have no plans for such an update. So if you plan on wanting Dolby Atmos in all its fill 5 glory, look elsewhere. Side note:. It looks like you can actually Remote Desktop Protocol directly from the TV to remote into a networked PC. I thought that was really cool. I have tried it however as my PC is directly connected to the TV. #sweepstakes
Yet another horrible product by Samsung
this tv is horrible, the volume goes up very loudly all by itself and then diminishes. then super loud again. the color is too bright and whites out people's faces. tried adjusting the settings but it doesn't work! do yourself a favor, and avoid samsung!!!
A Very Nice TV for Under $1000
This is a very nice TV. The box makes removal a cinch (read the instructions right on the box - the box literally lifts off its base). Setting it up took very little time, and the picture quality is excellent and the sound quality good (improved with adding a Bose sound bar). #sweepstakes
I wasn't planning on purchasing this exact tv but the clarity and brightness sold me. The voice to text / Search Has been difficult to set up and a sound bar Would help with talking scenes, esp for smaller rooms [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Could be better
Great shipping and service. TV is ok compared to my 5 yr old JS8500 that it replaced. Some technology has improved, but the build quality is inferior.
Big screen with excellent contrast and clarity
Due to the corona-19 stay at home order, my wife and I watch a lot of TV to pass the time. This TV has a beautiful large screen p and, with a compatible Samsung sound bar, we get a movie theater experience without leaving home!
The remote is junk. I have to reconnect it every time I turn the tv off, sometimes I have to unplug the tv and then turn it back on just to get it to reconnect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Clear, precise picture. This is the most amazing product available on the market today. The quality, attention to detail, and price is incredible. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great Design / Not Great Backlight Picture
This TV has a great design, super slim and almost no bezel along the edge. However, the most disappointing aspect is the brightness level & the revised picture settings menu. I own a 2016 8 series model & it was far better in terms of brightness and blackness depth. The backlight, brightness & contrast adjustment bars all had a 1 to 100 range where the new model has 1 through 5 or 1 through 20 @ best. I can never seem to get the picture bright enough. Also, streaming services like Netflix are compressing movies so backlight is crucial to view them comfortably. If you are looking for a bright picture & more picture depth & have a bright room needing a strong backlight, this TV is NOT for you. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This TV replaced my 2010 52" Sony TV.This is my second Samsung TV's and love it.I feel that this TV has a lot of great features and the sound is awesome for TV speakers. I highly recommend this TV, to anyone who is looking for a all around solid performer, and with the full array with Local dimming the Blacks look wonderful.
This Brand is Top Gun!
This is my second 65" samsung tv. Q70 has the best picture i've had in my home. The clarity is exceptional. I've researched all other Brands and nothing compared to Samsung! This so far is the Best TV on market . I would recommend this Qled TV to all who's looking to make a new purchase ! Thank you. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Reach out and touch me!
I would admired this tv every time I went into the store to shop. I would compare it to the surrounding tv's but I always came back to the Samsung N65 Q7. I felt as if I could reach out and touch the faces on the screen. The first thing I did after I got it home was to watch a movie with beautiful scenery and I was not disappointed - It was outstanding. The tv was easy to setup and to learn. Not the only one impressed
This product has replaced a prior Samsung 55" 4K TV, which affords a direct comparison of the improved quality and options. Image quality Having a prior 4K may blunt your sense to a improvement in quality, but the differences are still astounding. A fiend was visiting the day of arrival and set up and he asked if he we got a new TV. *It is just so crisp." The colors are vivid and clear edges that handles action and movement on screen will. Viewing from a sharper angle is sometimes a problem but was clear and true to color sitting at about 160 degrees. Design For a TV of this size, it carries a minimal footprint. A household battle is the size and quality of image without an overbearing presence. The on screen screensaver makes for a more integrated feel. Someday, an integration of the Aid from the Note series would be a valuable enhancement. The cord is strategically placed to run through the leg (out of sure) but could use a little more length. Operation While it builds on the same functional interface, this TV offers many features precision lacking on my prior TV. I use a surround sound system that used to require a separate remote to control the volume, but the QR70 has integrated the volume control into the TV remote, eliminating the need to keep a second bulky remote handy to watch TV. My only challenge in set up was the linkage to my cable service for browsing a guide of my digital cable that I've established on another Samsung TV in the home. While large leaps always seem unlikely with a new model release. The Q70R provides bucks that curve and provides so many benefits in design, functionality and picture. It blows away the option I obtained just 6 months ago. I highly recommend it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
