Great STEM toy.
Colorful, bright, interesting for little ones, and big ones alike. saw it advertised and looked on Walmart. cheaper here. yes I would purchase it again. Fisher Price toys are reliable..
Lots of Fun!
It works amazingly. Bought for a 3 year old and she absolutely loves it, as did my 5 year old and 7 year old. Very simple to us for kids as well. Endless possibilities :)
Bought as a gift
I bought this as a gift for my grandson. I also bought all the other additional add ons. This not only will be entertaining, but educational for direction.
Son loves it!
The pieces connect easily for changing the route. The only downside is that there's no volume control.
It does what's box says it foes
Received this toy over the weekend and my four year old Grandson has barely put it down. It is durable and is doing well with my very active Grandson. He's tuff on his toys and nothing broke. The pieces are easy to connect and it does exactly what the package says. Which is really nice. It engages the child and provides endless possibilities depending on what order the pieces are put together. The lights are really fun too. Music and changing colors bring delight also. I feel the toy is helping with problem solving and critical thinking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
My great niece absolutely love it
Just how much entertainment it is. My niece absolutely loves playing with it. She takes it to my brother house...it annoying to him
My 4 year old grandson is quite impressed with the colors displayed and the speed in which it moves. However, he has a difficult time taking and placing parts together without assistance. He is also too young to understand how the arrows can be sequenced to make the toy move in differing patterns. Would also be nice if music was more enjoyable and played more variety of melodies. The Think & Learn Code-a-pillar was enjoyed by my 4 year old granddaughter. It did take awhile for her to understand the concept, once she did she had fun trying to make it reach a target, and go under and around chairs and tables. The color coded directionals were easy for her to manipulate as was the on off switch
The music and sounds, although loud, added to her fun.
Would have liked the directionals to last longer and it would have been nice to have at least one more of each direction instead of having to buy an expansion
I think this is a great concept for kids; one in which she will grow with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Code A Pillar
Needs a big space to run in especially if you buy the extra pieces. The kids loved it.
They need to give more play the wiring. I had taken my daughters apart to figure out what is wrong. The links that connect it together break on the inside. I have found that the black wire connected to the circuit bored for the USB slots breaks very easily. Fisher price needs to fix this, for it also happened in the head and several links. Make sure to get the warranty, but I doubt that that is going to help solve the problem until they fix it.
Great learning toy
My grandson is 4 and he played with the code-a-pillar for hours. He liked making it go all different ways. I like that it is a learning toy that is also fun. I definitely recommend this to everyone [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
When my granddaughter opened this on Christmas Eve, the first thing she said was "My code-a-pillar!!" Everytime she'd see the commercial for this, she'd say "grandma I want one of those!" I ordered this online & picked it up at my local store. That process was so extremely easy & I'd highly recommend it to anyone! There was no waiting at all & the cashier was very friendly! I was surprised that there was no one else in the order online pick up in store area since it was close to Christmas! I'll definitely be ordering the add-ons for this! It was very easy for my granddaughter to figure out how to rearrange the pieces after I showed her once! She was having a blast with it!
Learn through play
My son and daughter, 3 and 4, love playing with this toy. It provides long periods of entertainment. The 3yo likes to press the buttons and just see what happens and let the caterpillar run through his legs, bump into him, the furniture, anything and he thinks it is hilarious. The older one is starting to understand that you can arrange the segments in a certain sequence to go certain places. We like to pause and dance like robots during the purple segment. We yell, "Dance break!" and stop what we are doing and dance and freeze at the end. The music is funny, not at all annoying. The toy works best on solid surfaces, not carpet. The batteries are still going, and the product seems sturdy despite the rough handling of a young child. My husband and I are thinking of ordering more segments, like the "repeat" segment. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to other parents of toddlers. We also like that you can grow with it a bit.
I got this for my almost 4 yr old for Christmas. Both she and my almost 6 yr old LOVE it. My youngest says what she wants the trajectory to be, and my eldest sticks the sections together to try and make it there. There is a bit of trial and error but that's part of the learning, and I love watching them figure out what they need to change to make the code-a-pillar hit its mark! They play with it almost daily still a few weeks later! It helps that the code-a-pillar is really cute and makes cute noises, so they don't care that they are learning coding!
Great learning toy
My 6 year old just opened this for Christmas and played with it tiredlessly for hours! I thought it was funny when at one point she asked me if the red words (Fisher Price) on it meant it was a toy for babies...I had to reassure her it was for kids 3-6 years old :)
I bought this for my 3yr old son for Christmas. He's still not sure about setting up targets, but seems to already get the idea on how to make it avoid furniture.
This toy is VERYdurable as sometimes he swings it around and is often kind of rough with it.
I highly recommend it!
Great learning toy
We purchased this for our children whose ages range from 1 to 6 years of age. All of them took an interest in playing with this toy. From just connecting the pieces to actually coding the movement. It is appropriate for a wide age range and learning abilities.
I have this wrapped for my granddau8ghter for Christmas. But before I wrapped it, I played with it a little and I loved it as I know she will! Fisher )Price is good. I actuall6y have a See n Say that my son had when he was 3 years old, it still works and it is 30 years old!
Great christmas gift
Toy is so fun. My kids 2 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son both love this toy and enjoy changing to pieces around
Got one for my 4 and 3 year old, and they love racing them and then we turned off all the lights and watch them go in the dark. Hours of fun!
