The Roadmaster VR3 does support the shuffle feature, which is a great feature that no stereo should go without.
Now, the only setback with this this car stereo does not remember what part of the song it's playing in the CD/USB/SD Memory mode after the car has been off and then turned back on. In other words, it will always start a track from the beginning after power off or mode switch, which may be problematic for some--not me, though. I can live with it. Note that you have to press on the clock button each and every time you wish to view the time. But the advantages clearly outweigh the negatives. To have both the USB and SD Car slots actually work is more than this customer can ask for. This is definitely a clever device. I haven't had any problems with this product thus far. Great car stereo.
Further, Roadmaster has two models that are identical: if you're wondering what is the difference between the two VR3's, the VRCD400SDU and the VRCD500SDU--the 2 models are exactly the same except for the faceplate design. I have both units--the 400 is mine and the 500 I bought for my brother as a present.
On that note...if you pay close attention to that movie Superbad, you'll notice that in a scene Seth has the same car stereo--well, the VRCD500SDU model, anyway--which is cool, you know, because these kids (Seth and Evan) are nerds, so you know they gotta know a thing or two about technology. That's why to see them have a Roadmaster VR3 speaks for itself. Cool movie, by the way, taking into consideration that I found Knocked Up and The 40-Year-Old Virgin boring.
