Most National Geographic nature specials are well done with lots of information and excellent visuals.
For me this set was not up to that standard. Instead of giving us what is known on the biology of pterosaurs they concentrate on a group of scientist who are trying to build a flying model of the animal and this takes up most of the running time. I would have liked to see more CG effects illustrating our theories on how they lived and interacted with their environment. What CG effects they did have were sub-standard at best. However, that being said, if the technical aspects of creating a flying model of a pterosaur piques your intrests then this DVD might be right up your alley. All in all, though, I can't recommend this DVD.
