Was perfect for what we needed because of the vCovid-19 Virus
I received the Equate 140 Piece First Aid Kit from the Spark Reviewer Program without any cost to me. I really like the case and contents are listed on the back. The kit contained more than what I expected quality topicals, medicines, bandages, dressings, instruments and is great to have on hand for emergencies. Every hurricane season I update my supplies so, I am glad to have everything I might need. Also, it comes with a small First Aid Guide.
Great Kit to Have on Hand
Having a simple first aid kit on hand is an essential for anyone, but especially for those in active households. My son is a busy guy, and you never know when a simple scrape or small cut might occur. This Equate First Aid Kit has been a great item to have in the trunk of my car for those minor boo-boos. When the kit arrived, all 140 pieces fit nicely in the box, but after I took them all out to examine them, it was hard to get them all back in place. I consolidated them into groups, putting most of them in Ziploc bags per their type. Now I can grab (for example) just a simple bandage or acetaminophen tablets as needed. So in the attached photo, you will see my plastic bags and how I organized things. This is a fine product, and one I’m glad to have on hand.
Best of the basics plus a few surprises
Equate brand is always the best dollar deal. This first aid kit is no exception. Everything is neatly kept in a hard plastic case that easily stows anywhere. There is no shortage on the variety of bandages, ointments and triage items. I was surprised to see a pair of gloves in the kit as well as depressor sticks and cotton swabs. I have my kit in my mother's handicap van in the even that she or dad need a quick fix to any minor incident they might encounter. Dad cut his finger aligning mother's power chair on the van ramp and I was able to quickly see to that wound with the kits antibiotic products and bandaged it on the spot. My dad is a hemophiliac, so that quick convenient was exactly what he needed in those first moments after his cut. All these bandages are antibacterial and there is no worry of latex allergy. This kit includes: 81 sheer, fabric or waterproof antibacterial bandages, 5 butterfly closures, 11 gauze and non-stick pads, 6 antiseptic wipes, 12 alcohol prep pads, 4 acetaminophen tablets, 4 allergy caplets, 2 triple antibiotic ointments, 2 burn gels, 2 nitrile exam gloves, 1 cold pack, 2 wooden finger splints, 1 paper tape, 4 cotton-tipped applicators, metal tweezers and an instructions pamphlet. Everyone needs to have at least one of these or consider 2--one for your vehicle and one for your house.
Great First Aid Kit!
This 140 piece first aid kit I received is awesome. It is lightweight and carries everything you need for cuts, wounds, burns, and sanitizing. This kit is great for home, traveling, and air travel. It has sterile bandages, band-aids, wound dressings, topical and medicine as well as instruments to help aid you with gloves, adhesive bandage wrap. It is all packed in a tidy little kit that can go anywhere you go. I like this product for emergencies at home and on the road. It is nice to keep in car or in my medicine cabinet. I received this product from the Spark Reviewer program.
Great For Everyone
I'm probably the clumsiest person on the planet, and always in need of a Band-Aid or gauze or ointment. This First Aid kit is made just for me, and people like me. Everything you need is always on hand--and it's packed full. I've even taken to carrying it in the trunk of my car. You never know when you're going to need it. It's so tidy and handy. I don't know how I survived without it before. And, just as an aside...I love Equate products.
BASIC FIRST AID KIT
This little kit is great to have on hand as you have quite a few basic medical needs in one place. The kit itself is plastic, with four compartments holding the various items. It includes a very general First Aid Guide, single use Instant Cold Pack, Paper Tape, a few Gauze and Not Stick Pads, Butterfly Closures, Gloves, Tweezers, various sizes of Bandages, Antiseptic Pads, Antibiotic Ointments, Burn Gel, Acetaminophen and Allergy Tablets. This is very convenient and should be in every home at least. Of course you could also include other or additional medication to the kit but this kit is a good place to start. I must admit I have different first aid medication all over the house often hard to find when you need it most, so this is great for my house and maybe yours too.
This kit comes with so much. Cotton swaps, gloves, finger splints, a pair of tweezers, single use cold compress and paper tape. These are what this kit considers tools. The cotton swaps are sterile and sealed in easy to open pull apart wrapper. The gloves are in a zip lock bag, the finger splints are typical Popsicle shaped splints about 6 inches long and 3/4 inch wide. There are plenty of bandages of all sizes even knuckle and finger bandages. There are alcohol prep pads and antiseptic wipes along with individual triple antibiotic ointments and burn gels. There are some allergy caplets and acetaminophen tablets. All of this in a nice compact refillable hard plastic case.
I have already had to use a few of the bandages, the wipes and ointment. The wipes are plenty big enough and the ointment has more then enough for minor cuts and scrapes.
This is a great little kit to take on outings, on vacations (small enough not to take up much room in a suitcase),or to carry in the trunk of the car. This little kit can go anywhere. And it is easily refillable with first aid supplies you can buy anywhere. This kit has small bandages for kids minor cuts and that means you don't have to cut them down to their size!
all the basic essentuals
Equate 140 piece First Aid Kit comes in a nicely organized, divided case. I really like the sturdy latching case that it comes in. It is water resistant- not waterproof, so many not be ideal for a boat. It is perfect for the home, car, camper, dorm room or RV. It should hold up to being knocked around in the trunk. It has everything you need together for most minor emergencies, like cuts, splinters, bruises and minor burns. So no fumbling trying to locate antiseptic wipes, swabs, bandages and single use antibiotic gel, everything is right there at your finger tips. It is well organized and has a little room to add a few of your own personal needs- like small scissors and anti itch cream. The instant ice pack, splint, butterfly closures, tweezers and basic first aid instruction booklet to address minor injuries. There is also burn gel and dressing for minor burns as well. And the individually wrapped acetaminophen tablets and allergy capsules keep them protected. Has most things you would need to be prepared on a family outing or in the kitchen--or sending off to college.
Amazingly Thorough and Complete First Aid Kit
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the comprehensive list of items included in this 140-piece first aid kit by Equate. The All Purpose in the title is truly deserved. Although I do think they may have been overly-generous with the number of different types of bandages, I really can’t think of anything they left out, and was impressed at the inclusion of some items I wouldn’t have thought of, like burn gel for minor burns, tweezers for use in removing splinters, and both alcohol pads and antiseptic wipes. Since there are so very many different kinds of bandages (fabric, waterproof, butterfly, for example), I think I’ll use them up quickly to make a little more room in the kit, and include a full-sized tube of antibiotic ointment, to take the place of the little paper envelopes (like Wet-Naps) of ointments and gels.
My biggest complaint about the kit is that it is comprised, by and large, of dozens of differently-sized bandages and little paper envelopes of things, and each time you move your kit, these items are jumbled all over the kit. They don’t stay in their original compartments because there’s no way to secure them. At first, I used paper clips to keep like items sorted with like, but that wasn’t as successful as I could have wished, so lately I’ve been using rubber bands to corral most of the items. I really feel like this is an issue that should have been addressed by Equate. Having said that, I should also say that it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. I started with one kit, just to see how I liked it, and I now have a kit in all three bathrooms, as well as in my kitchen.
Wal-Mart Equate first aid kit
Wal-Mart's 140 piece first aid kit comes in a plastic compartmentalized box that measures 10" X 8 " and 3 " deep. Included are non aspirin, burn gel and antibiotics. Also antiseptic wipes, alcohol pads, five kinds and sizes of anti bacterial bandages.A Cold pack, gloves , metal tweezers and butterfly closures round out this kit. Handy for home or camp for those minor medical needs.
Nice Kit, but need SCISSORS
It is a nice little kit, but you need scissors in it. They give you tweezers but no scissors???? Anyway, there are 5 different types of band aids, cold pack, paper tape, gauze pads, Q tips, exam gloves, butterfly closures, wooden finger splints. Also included are Antiseptic wipes, alcohol prep pads, triple antibiotic ointment, burn gel, acetaminophen tablets and allergy caplets. The plastic case seems to be durable and it does have a way to lock it, so that it does not open on its own and you could even put a lock through the holes when closed to keep children from getting into it, if they figure out how to open it.
Well worth it for emergencies!!!!
It was time to update my first aid kit at home. This kit comes with all the essentials you need for emergencies plus extras. Variety sized bandages and ointments too. I decided this one will stay at home and my smaller one will go in the vehicle. You just never know when you'll need this kit.
Nice to Have on Handy
it's a good first aid kit and I'm a fan of Equate Products... I would only wish it will come with more antibiotic creams and burning creams instead of just one or two... and for it to have more compartments so it can be better organized... but overall great to have and good price for it...
Convenient way to buy and store first aid items
Quick way to pick up stuff without spending a lot of time gathering all you will need to treat a wound, headache or allergic reaction. If storage is a consideration, this kit would work. Just make sure to replenish items as used and keep an eye on the expiration dates. There is extra space in the box to add additional items such as scissors, small bottles of pain medicine, etc. Container is made from a sturdy plastic. Slide handle locks are a little stiff. Only time will tell if the plastic will hold up being stored in a hot car trunk on a continuing basis.
Clearly states on box that product is recommended for home, auto and travel. Would be great to use in a camper also. Container is not waterproof so it is not recommended for use on a boat. The kit contains mostly bandages, gauze pads and tape. It also contains 6 antiseptic towelettes, 12 alcohol prep pads, 2 small burn gel packets, 2 small triple antibiotic ointment packets, 4 non-aspiran tablets, and 4 Diphen capsules.
I recommend this kit
You do not have to spend a lot of money to get a great first aid kit. I bought this a year ago for my short term rental apartment and my guests love it. I now have one in my home. The slim case takes up very little space. Everything in the kit is very useful. I plan to simply replace items as they run out. No home should be without a first aid kit and I highly recommend this one.
Kind of ok
Great case. The 140 items are mostly bandages. more disinfectant and large tape along with larger gauze pads would be nice. Enough room in the case where I was able to add my items (more items) so as to make it more useful.
No aiding this kit secure!!
I get first Aid kits are touch and go but this looks like they just threw everything in and hoped for the best! The products inside were everywhere and nothing was secured. You get what you pay for.
I have used this several times already!,
I never have bandages or gauze, bandaids, tape or anything for cuts. Now I do. Am thinking of getting some for added x-mas gifts. It is something you would not think of getting but really necessary.
This is a super first aid kit. I has everything and so neatly packaged in this neat little box. So small so can put in car for those little accidents that grandkids have. Love love this little first aide kit/
