I have the compact and the full-size ionic turbo. I enjoyed them when I got them. To not have a fan blowing, you'd be surprised what these things pull out of the air. However, I've only had mine 6 months and it stopped working. Like others have experience, the red clean light continuously stays on. I've cleaned it on a regular basis and followed all cleaning instructions. Since mine is still under warranty, I called the company and they told me it was the blades, but those are not covered (although the warranty doesn't indicate this). They said it would cost me approx. $30 to get new blades for this unit (but it might not actually be the blades that are bad)... He said if I wanted, I could fax the store receipt, pack and ship the defective unit to CA. They would then inspect and if it was defective, they would send a replacement for $30 (shipping/handling/processing). So, either way they are trying to charge me $30 to fix an item under warranty... Oh, and their customer service is HORRIBLE!!! First call I talked to someone who told me to just take the thing back to the store to exchange it. The next time I called a lady answered who said she would have to have someone in customer service return my call. 2 days passed and no return call. I then called again and spoke with someone who gave me the same response, (pay $30 for new blades, return it to the store, or pay $30+ for a replacement unit). Since they are certain the replacement blades will fix the problem, I don't understand why they won't just send me the blades and I only have to pay the shipping for the blades (maybe $10). Anyway, if I had to do it over, I'd buy a unit with a permanent HEPA filter... if you have to replace these metal blades... $$$
