I am not sure what the other review is referring to, because this book is fantastic. One can easily identify with the uncertainty and indecision of the narrator. The reader can never tell if the narrator is a male or female, which was the intent of the author. While the other reviewer may have found this discouraging, I found this helpful. It makes the character universal. If you've had one relationship your entire life, and don't understand the pain of loss or the fear of commitment, then maybe this book is too much. If you're like the other 98% of people, this book has vivid detail and great writing. This book is fantastic for its writing style and technique, even if you don't agree with the character. If you want easy, cheesey unrealistic endings, go read Twilight.
