Super interactive, tons of fun!
What it's all about: Jester is the all-new interactive species of dinosaurs from Spin Master. Why you should get him: Jester has a lot of fun attributes thanks to several different mischievous modes that your will kids love! He can burp, cluck like a chicken, bark like a dog, and make your regular Dino noises. Turn him into a zombie and listen to him moan. Put him in spin mode and he gets dizzy and falls over. Gently pull its tail, and he goes into a roaring rage and charges. Control it with a remote control and freak your cat out. Jester is fantastically designed –he's sturdy, colorful, incredibly stable and well made. He can be run on Auto, Training Mode or Manual mode. And bonus, he's rechargeable! Jester zips around on two wheel and balances really well on hardwood and laminate surfaces. He can even manage tile and carpet (the transition is a little tricky, but he usually makes it without falling over). What to consider: The remote is not labelled at all, just has shape buttons. The instructions are very detailed (which is good!) but it's difficult to remember the nearly 20 control combos. On the plus side, the instruction manual does have a cheat sheet which is a life saver! Bottom line: My family of 5 received this toy for free to review and I would definitely recommend it. My 6-year old loves zombie mode, my 10-year old was best at controlling and training it, and my 4-year old absolutely squeals with delight every time it burps or chases our cat!
What a friend
Zoomer walks and talks. Zooms and listens. He remembers. My grandson loves him. Perfect size. His eyes change colors when he is in different modes. Love this little dude.
Always a great experience!
So far, I have bought several items big and small from Walmart. I am always completely satisfied with the timing, shipping and customer service I have received. Thank you!!!
Awesome - kids loved it
A disclaimer: This dino has hooked me more than my kids and in all probability I will go for another of these kinds.:). Zoomer dino when I first got it, was not sure what to expect as I never previously tried a robotic pet. We have been waiting very much for this to arrive and as soon as we got the delivery, both my kids, were super excited. Here goes my review: The Packaging: It comes in a nice package which seems to keep it safe from all jerks and transit risks. You need to a have 3 AAA batteries for the remote. The Machine, the Pet & the Dino: Its a cute little dino considering the real ones. First & foremost is to read the manual completely. I won't rate the manual very high on clarity terms but after repeated use the kids will get a grip of th features & they will play with it like anything. The dino makes sounds which makes you feel very real. It even farts, burps, sit down, patrols, spins etc. It may take some time to master all tricks in the bag but once you are done, you are ready to roll on. My kids were the first among their friends to have this state of the art toy & I am sure they impressed a lot of kids. The toy is very addictive and i feel that its worth the money its priced. I have not seen anything like this before and this product is simply awesome..
Great WOW gift for both adults & children!!
I was thrilled when my Jester, the Zoomer Dino arrived, as we have other Zoomer pets and wanted to add a dinosaur to our family! Immediately after opening the box, you will notice the attractive, well- designed appearance of this robot. He has a nice blue and green color scheme that is both eye-catching and exciting - not at all placid or cutesy like the previous generation of Zoomer Dinos. The bright red tongue and sizable teeth definitely grab your attention, as does his long, multi-sectioned (bendable) tail. This does not look like your typical 5-year old kid's toy. It will appeal to older children and adults, as well as your 5-year old who wants to be more grown up! It's fantastic that Zoomer sends their products out pre-charged so that you can get a few minutes of immediate enjoyment before plugging them in for a longer charge. Mine lasted a little over 15 minutes before losing steam. Note that the amount of charge left in your unit will depend on how long it has been sitting on a shelf and how much heat it has been exposed to. Retailers with air conditioned warehouses are your best bet for getting a unit that is still holding a charge. 3 of 4 Zoomers in my family arrived with 9-17 minutes of charge left. Only one (from a different online store) arrived with no charge at all. Right out of the box, this robot is great fun to play with. You don't have to read any instructions to just turn it on, press the button on top, and watch it play and react to its surroundings. It can back itself out of most corners and amuses itself (and you) with burping and farting noises, but since they are mechanical versions of these sounds rather than realistic recordings, they are funny and not offensive. Jester was designed to be a Jokeasaurus, so this is intended to be comical. If you don't want your kids laughing and making fun of bodily sounds, then this might not be the toy for you. The most amazing part is that Jester can balance on just his back legs and stand back up again after sitting down! The dinosaur also has sensors in his nose that allow him to interact with his environment and with you. His eyes change color to let you know what mood and mode he's in, and his arms and tail move to help him express himself. Of all the Zoomer pets, this is the one best suited to a smaller amount of play space. My favorite behavior is that if you gently pull his tail, he will throw a tantrum - spinning around, roaring, and baring his teeth while his eyes turn bright red! As an adult, I loved this, but I do think it is a bit much (scary / alarming) for younger children, depending on what else they have been exposed to of this nature. Some 5-year olds won't bat an eye while others might be mildly alarmed at first. I would recommend against letting 2-4 year olds watch their older sibling play with Jester, as they might really become frightened or have bad dreams, even though they won't be able to tear their eyes away from him! The included remote control allows you to control his movement, so that you can maneuver him like you would a remote control car. You do need to read the instructions to learn how to record movements for future play back. It's not intuitive enough to figure out on your own, and it's a nice feature to impress your friends with. You can also hypnotize Jester (turn him into a zombie) or make him spin so much that he gets dizzy and falls down. I have so much fun just watching Jester do his own thing (with an occasional tail pull here and there) that I rarely try to control him. The remote control is also my only negative about Jester, as Zoomer does not bother including the 3 AAA batteries needed to operate it. This toy is very well-constructed and hardily built. It is not fragile like many other robots and looks like it will stand up to the “care” given to it by children. The packaging is great and really protects your Zoomer Dino from damage while in transit, and he is easy to remove from the packaging if you use scissors to cut the bindings from the bottom (after turning the box upside down) – this is much easier than trying to untie things. Jester is a fantastic “WOW” party gift as everyone will ooh and aah over him and the kids will immediately want to play with him. After the initial session, charging only takes about an hour (not overnight), so after cake time, they can play again! (Remember to purchase from the right retailer if you want the best chance of receiving a unit which arrives still holding some of its factory charge.) In general, this is a higher priced toy, but quite reasonable when compared with other electronics, especially robots. I was lucky enough to receive mine for free as part of a promotion from Zoomer, which solicited our feedback after testing out this updated version of their robot dinosaur! I absolutely love my Jester!
Super fun toy!!!
I was asked to try out and review this product by Bzzagent, so here is my honest opinion!! We were super excited to get picked to review this product. I have a 6 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter who are big fans of burping and farting noises ;) When the box arrived we had to charge it for about half an hour to get it going. Would have been awesome if it was ready to go because it felt like waiting a lifetime to my kids. The instructions are VERY lengthy and they just wanted to get going. There's a good little cheat sheet that let's you know how to do the simple things (burping, farting, cluck like a chicken, moo like a cow, turn into a zombie dino) all using the remote control. It zoomed around and balanced really well! The kids had a blast with it. My son was over the moon that show and tell at school happened to be the next day and all the kids thought it was the coolest toy in the world ;) That being said, it felt like the novelty wore off quickly. It's the first toy they want to show their friends when they come over though! We just need to spend some more time figuring it out, it might a little too over complicated for my kids age group. My puppy even had a blast with it! I think it would make any young kid very happy to receive this toy under the tree this year!
Super fun interactive toy
Received this from BuzzAgent & my 4 year old son and 8 year old daughter couldn't wait to open it. The kids frantically starting playing with it as I read the instruction manual outloud. The sensors work great & the Dino balances great as it went exploring around our hardwood living room. Too bad the battery died after 5-7mins before it needed a 1 hour recharge. Easy to teach the Dino tricks and kids can't wait for it to charge up.
Crazy fun, non stop laughter toy
The Zoomer Dino Jester arrived as part of a BzzKit thanks to BzzAgent. My kids (8 & 10) were so excited to try this toy as he is known as the prankster of the Dinosaur family. This Dino is amazing, he is not scary but rather fun loving with bright colours and a super big friendly grin. From the moment we turned on Jester the laughter started. This dinosaur can burp a song, toot and run and sniff, he can be hypnotized to act like a chicken, cow, or zombie. The all time favorite move for my kids is when he spins around so fast and gets dizzy and topples over. What a blast this toy is and it has a neat record mode where he will remember a command so you can show others later.
Perfect toy for Dino lovers!
My 10 year old son loves this Dino! He enjoys being able to control what the dinosaur can do and there are many different and entertaining functions that can keep him busy for hours. Only downside is that there is 20 minutes of play time before Dino needs to be recharged (about 1 hr to charge).
Does Not Live Up to Expectations
I was so excited to be chosen by BZZAgent to receive the Zoomer Dino, Jester to try and review. My almost 7 year old son has a Zoomer Bentley, so when a Zoomer Dino came out, he couldn't wait to play with both toys together. The manufacturer was on the right track by changing this Zoomer to be controlled by a remote or hand signals, instead of voice activated, but unfortunately it fell flat. The Dino changes modes by different flashing colored eye lights (and there is a very helpful guide included in the directions), but it circulates through different modes quickly, which makes it very hard to play with. I charged the Dino correctly on my computer until the eyes were green, and after about 10 minutes of play, I would have to recharge Zoomer Dino for another hour before it would work again. The Dino also makes a very strange sound, I have never heard a roar but just an annoying weird noise coupled with a loud mechanical clicking that is constantly present. My son played with this for about 20 minutes and because of these issues, we have since put it away. If these issues (frequently dying battery and quickly cycling from mode to mode) didn't occur, this would have been a four star toy.
Funny toy, difficult to use
I received the product from BzzAgent for review. The instruction book is very long with a lot of details that are hard to remember especially for a 6 year old! I kept having to refer to it to remember what all the moves and hand signals are and things it's supposed to do. In the end our 6 year old laughed when he played with it, even though it seemed to do random movements and random sounds. I'm not sure if we were doing the commands wrong or if it wasn't working. The battery lasted only about 15-20 minutes but my son was fine with it because he'd be bored of it by then anyways. Overall, a fun toy for kids, but I wouldn't count on them being able to use the commands.
Fun for all ages
The Zoomer Dino has surprised me of its ability to do so many different things. First off it has alipo battery that needs to be charged before play, don't worry it doesn't take long to charge. The eye color will change to green when fully charged. You will find on its belly a place to plug a usb cable(included). It also take 3 aaa batteries for the remote(not included). Once charged it will last around 30 minutes of non stop play. The Zoomer Dino Jester has sensors on his nose and back for use with hand motions. I find it a little complicated for the kids and they would rather use the remote. Some of the things Jester does will keep you laughing. Like for instance he will bark, moo, cluck like a chicken, far. He spins in circles, acts like a zombie, and chomps his teeth. If you grab his tail he will get upset, my kids thought it was hilarious. Those are just a few things he can do. Pay close attention to his eye color because they have different meanings (refer to manual) I suggest reading it before play. Controlling Jester is a little difficult for younger kids and will need an adults help at first. My kids love it!!!
This is quite fun, if I do say so myself.
I am a 52 year old male with an 8 year old son. I obtained this Zoomer Dino Jester with the intent to let my son play with it. However, I find myself playing with it more than my son. Once I got it figured out how the controller works with the Dino Jester, it has been a blast. It seems to like my wife though, because every time she enters the room Jester makes a "b" line right for her. This is a lot of fun and an item I am going to have a hard time sharing. Yes I would recommend the Zoomer Dino Jester.
Dino fun for all!
Got this toy for my 5 and 3 year old nephews and they love it! It was easy for them to control and play with, they enjoy the easy controls, which is nice. I watched them driving this all around the house and one thing I appreciated was that they were able to maneuver it around, rather than crashing into, things. The Dino also makes great and amusing noises (it farts!) for them which they of course get a huge kick out of. BzzAgent made sure we'd enjoy this product sample and we sure have!
Jester's Jokes Fell Flat
I ordered Zoomer from BzzAgent.com and agreed to give an honest review of this toy. Reading the reviews of the other Zoomer versions I was very excited and had high expectations. When the package arrived I found it to be impressive and sharp. Any kid getting this toy would be excited to see this box. Before playing with Zoomer you have to charge it. After a short time I was ready to go play. To use it just like a kid would, I tried playing with it without ready the instructions. I couldn't get Zoomer to do anything the box said he would. No matter what mode I put him in he seemed to just do his own thing and move and make noise constantly with no rhyme or reason. After that I read the instructions. There are four modes and honestly a few of them seem like they were put in there to make is sound like he does more things when in reality I would rather two modes did what they were supposed to do and did it well. The only mode I could get to work was the "patrol mode" and that is because he either moves in a box or in a triangle. Not very hard to do. All other modes never really seemed to work. Zoomer never really responded to me waving my hands over the sensors and even the remote control didn't really work. And some phrase Zoomer kept repeating I couldn't even understand. I am not sure if something was wrong with my toy and it was defective, but I was very disappointing after playing with Zoomer. Two things I found to be great was the balancing Zoomer can do and the idea of sensors. In the end I feel like this toy was so close to being great, but it was made to do too much and in the end it didn't do any of it well. For a child this is way too complicated. Great idea, poor execution.
Fantastic family entertainment toy!
I was asked to try this toy for free from BZZAgent and give my feedback. I think this is the greatest toy ever! It is funny and keeps the whole family entertained. My kids aged 9 and 6 love Jester! They fight over him all the time so I think Santa might be bringing them another one. Any child in my opinion would love to have this toy!
Another pet for the family
Meet the class clown of the dinosaur world. Someone had to keep it light in the Stone Age after all, so along came Zoomer Dino Jester burping, giggling and farting just to get some laughs. This Jokeasaurus has sensors in his nose that allow you to guide and train him. Hypnotize him into zombie mode or spin him so silly he falls down. Use the remote to record your favorite moves so he can entertain family and friends with your best tricks! Pros: Jester definitely lives up to his name. He had my husband and I (in our 30's), my parent's (in their 60's) and my two girls- 3 and 6 rolling with laughter. He was fun and the remote was very easily to use. His antics- burping, farting, meowing and barking like a dog make him feel like an actual pet some days! Cons: I wish he had an indicator on him or the remote that showed you which mode he was in. We have a hard time knowing if we are in training mode or play mode. I would definitely recommend Jester!
Bought as present for my nephew, he was super excited, very interactive toy, even the adults want to play
My son screamed for joy when he got his new Dino...he said it was his favourite gift.
Wow, what a cool toy! I received a promotional trial of the Zoomer Dino from BzzAgent, and I'm really impressed with this toy. My kids really enjoy watching it move and growl and spin. It's a little bit difficult to get used to the different modes, commands and motions, but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun to play with. I wish the battery lasted longer than 20 minutes or so between charges, but it charges fairly quickly too. I also worry a bit about the durability of the dino, but I've had no problems with it yet. One side note, though my kids really enjoy it, my cat... hates it. :)
